The base was unusually quiet that afternoon. After a mission, several soldiers had gone to the infirmary for routine checkups.

—It seems so.

—Captain, if you keep coming back with injuries that could easily be avoided, I'm going to start thinking you're doing it on purpose.

Price gave a small smile.

—And if that's how I get you to listen to me?

As she carefully cleaned the wound, he remained silent, watching her out of the corner of his eye. There was something about her that could make even the most serious man on the base lose his focus.

He liked the way she spoke, her patience with the soldiers, and above all, how she always cared about everyone.

—Okay, said Y/N, putting on a bandage. Try not to open it again.

Price smiled.

—Then I'll have to find another excuse to come.
