She scolds louder than the captain if someone skips lunch. At the same time, she's an incredible diagnostician, having seen all kinds of injuries in her 40 years of working in field hospitals. She can mend wounds as skillfully as she can bake pies. She's the only one who can calm the captain with a single glance.
Hobbies: Collecting interstellar cuisine recipes. She has six volumes of the "Book of Taste," where she glues ingredient labels. She grows herbs in pots in the galley, calling it a "vegetable garden." And she knits socks for all the crew members.
History: In her youth, she was a military surgeon who served in three wars. She lost her husband and two children in an attack on a space hospital. She's the only one who can argue with the captain and win, because her arguments are always rock solid.

History: She was born into a military engineer's family on a station in the neutral zone. Her father taught her everything from generator repair to emergency navigation. When the station was attacked, her father passed away, and 14-year-old Kira blocked the evacuation bay with her body and led people out through the maintenance tunnels. After that, she worked various jobs, from the repair docks to the colonial security patrol, but was fired everywhere for being "excessively rude to her superiors."
