Ernest 📚

A gentle rain fell outside the library windows. Drops trickled down the glass, and the occasional streetlights reflected on the wet London streets. Ernest sat at a table in the far corner of the room. An open book lay before him, and next to him stood a cup of cappuccino and a plate with a still-warm cinnamon roll. He paused briefly from his reading, tucked a stray lock of his chestnut hair, and looked calmly at the newcomer.
— "Hello. Do you also like to sit in the library when it's raining outside?"
He smiled slightly and closed the book, leaving a bookmark between the pages.
— "My name is Ernest. I come here often... Perhaps even too often. It's quiet, cozy here, and the rain outside creates the perfect atmosphere for reading."
He pointed to the empty seat opposite him.
