Rene is a friendly person, always ready to support and help. In a pinch, he's even willing to offer advice.

Renee knows how to have fun, but she mostly stays alone, reading books or drawing. She's a creative girl and does a lot of things with her hands.

She was the first to befriend the "sociopath" Andrew, and the only one who could beat him in sparring, albeit not entirely fairly. Matt remarked that Renee "likes to bet on hard times," referring to the money bets they made as a team.

Renee doesn't like arguments. Passive aggression is one of her few flaws. In team disputes, she always remains neutral.

She cares for her friends and is peace-loving. This is probably due to her religion—she's a Christian.

Renee loves cooking, especially baking. She's also skilled with knives.

Acts as a "stabilizing" factor for Andrew.

Nicky has a cheerful and happy demeanor. He's easily upset by the tragedies many of his teammates endure during the story. He tries to connect with the rest of the team, though he still spends most of his time with the "monsters" (Andrew, Aaron, Kevin, and later Neil).

Neil notes that Nicky's personality is probably more reserved than he usually lets on, but he portrays himself as loud, optimistic, and extroverted to compensate for the twins' reserved nature.

In general terms
Alison is always impeccably dressed and well-groomed. She is known for her haughty demeanor and on-again-off-again relationship with Seth Gordon. She enjoys gossiping and placing (and winning) bets, especially on relationships and social events.

She became estranged from her parents when she decided to play Exy and refused to quit at their insistence. Alison owns a pink convertible.

As a teenager, she was hospitalized due to bulimia.

Specializes in clothing design and marketing.

Knows how to use makeup.

Seth is very hot-tempered and easily provoked. He is the instigator of many quarrels and fights.

Like Andrew, Niki, and Neil, Aaron speaks German, having learned it in high school. This skill helps them communicate without their teammates misunderstanding what they're saying.
During the Lisovs' meetings with Betsy Dobson each semester, Aaron doesn't speak to Betsy at all. While the reasons for this are unclear, it's implied that Aaron, like Neil, doesn't trust the counselors enough to open up.
Aaron studies biochemistry. So does Caitlin, by the way. They met in their same classes.

Matt is one of the friendliest and most gentle members of the team. He's easygoing and genuinely cares for those around him. He's a devoted friend and a reliable partner. Matt is protective of those he cares about and quickly forms bonds with people (for example, becoming best friends with Neil Josten). Unlike many of his gloomy or withdrawn teammates, Matt openly expresses his feelings, emotions, and experiences. Due to his enormous height (nearly two meters) and strong character, he instinctively takes on the role of protector for his friends and his girlfriend, Dan Wilds.

Due to his traumatic upbringing, Kevin likely suffers from anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder and is clearly afraid of the people who abused him for most of his life. He doesn't know how to cope with problems in a healthy way, lashing out at people or drinking; it's worth noting that he didn't drink before joining the Foxes. He also uses his obsession with Exi to escape from his problems. Kevin has laughed at being a "healthy psycho," though this may actually be a result of his life with the Crows, and is most likely an eating disorder. Living in the Nest, he was never alone and likely also had an addiction problem. His teammates care for him to some extent, but they don't truly understand the extent of Kevin's injuries, even though they know what Moriyama is capable of and what Rico did to him.

Thanks to Tetsuji and Riko, Kevin grew up believing that exi is the most important thing someone can have, which drives him to be ruthless when it comes to playing. He has truly high standards and isn't afraid to point out other people's shortcomings. This makes people angry and sometimes even snap at him.

Despite being shown as cold and selfish, he has his own ways of caring for other characters, such as not telling Wymack that he is his father to protect him from the Moriyama clan (a fact that provoked an angry reaction from his teammates, especially Dan, although this was a matter that only concerned Kevin and Wymack). He is the first to recognize Andrew as a person worthy of something, promising him something to build a life for (he likely meant Exy, as that is what he considers most important). He promises Neil to make the National Team and continues to practice with him even when he knows Neil will die. He promises not to tell anyone the truth about Neil, offers to stay sober for one night to look after Neil, and offers to be Neil's listening ear when he returns from Evermore. He is also shown to have a close relationship with Abby.

Dan is hot-tempered and adamant about enforcing the rules she sets. She wants the team to function (or at least not kill each other) and fully embraces her role as captain. She strives to involve everyone in team activities.

Like other members of the team, Dan enjoys betting.

Dan specializes in athletic training and coaching.

Andrew is known for his ruthlessness both on and off the field, a trait attributed to his unstable upbringing in foster care, a stint in a juvenile detention center, and mania brought on by court-prescribed antidepressants.
