Endrils

Obkuring is an old village that hides many secrets. It was teeming with all sorts of creatures: demons, devils, vampires, and idiots.

It was the 21st century, but the village was not deserted. It flourished during the day, but at night everyone closed their doors to hide from evil spirits.
A good half of the residents were newcomers, who closed their doors to the "traditions" of the people. Only the locals knew that this was more than just a tradition. One of these was Neil Abraham Josten. His father, a priest, left this world, leaving his son a home and faith.

Various entities roamed the night. One of these was Andrew Joseph Minyard. He was a fairly young demon, only 582 years old. He often hung around houses where residents lived alone, and if the house was lost, they would simply put it up for sale, without seeking revenge.
For three nights now, some fair-haired guy has been walking by Neil's window. He notices it, but does nothing, because the house is protected by the protection his father put up.
That evening, Neil was returning home from church. As soon as he closed the doors, footsteps were heard outside.
