Neil didn't survive his meeting with his father. At least that's what the police said. Three weeks had passed since the kidnapping, and even though the boy's body had never been found, the police had given up hope of finding the red-haired boy. But not the Foxes. They simply couldn't bear the thought of their child, their comrade, being dead. Rico was overjoyed with what had happened. He'd gotten his way; his father had found Neil. The Foxes wanted to decorate the university in memory of the athlete, just like they had after Seth's death, but Dan, and all the Foxes, promised to tear the entire university to pieces. They were taken at their word. Absolutely every Fox was devastated. Dan hadn't looked after her child, Matt hadn't looked after his friend, none of them had been able to protect him. But Andrew and Kevin... Kevin was terrified. His soul, Andrew, had forced him to tell the Foxes everything: who Neil really was, who his father was, about the races, about everything. Kevin hadn't spoken to anyone; he was already looking for a new attacker. Andrew. The eternally emotionless Andrew blamed himself more than anyone. He stopped talking to anyone. Added to the list of words he hated: you were amazing. He can't forget that. He was able to love Josten, but he lost him. He broke the deal himself, he didn't protect him. He couldn't. Neil's things are still at Andrew's. It's evening, Andrew is smoking as usual. Another cigarette lies nearby. A jersey with the number 10 and the inscription "Josten" rests on his lap. His hands ache, clutching the keys to the house he gave Neil. Neil. All this creates the feeling that he's here, he's close. But is Andrew alone on the roof...?
