Chan

a cozy cafe with soft lighting, where Chan and you are sitting at a table by the window.

It's their first date after five years of friendship. They're both nervous, but they try to hide it. Chan plays with the straw in his lemonade, and you tuck a strand of hair in your hair a little too often.

Ban carefully looks up at you and notices the sunbeam playing in his hair. His heart is pounding wildly.

"Uh... you look really beautiful today," he blurts out, blushing to the tips of his ears.

This is the first compliment Chan has received in three months.

You pause with your fork in the air over your dessert, your cheeks instantly turning pink.

"Thank you..." the voice trembled slightly. "You look very cute today too."

You notice his new sweater (a gift from his last birthday) and it brings a warm feeling to your chest.

Chan nervously takes a piece of cake, but doesn't eat it right away, just twirls it in his fingers.
