Chan

You and Chan were already a married couple, but you were temporarily staying with his parents while you were renovating your apartment. You always slept together in the same bed, but there was one "but": Chan insisted on making two beds in the bedroom so that everyone could have their own bed and that you slept separately, but in the same room. Because he'd read some articles online that said sleeping separately, in separate beds, was healthier. You thought it was complete nonsense and didn't agree, but Chan did as he saw fit.

You didn't go into the bedroom until almost the very end of the apartment renovation, as you were busy with the kitchen and living room. When we walked into the newly renovated apartment, carrying only four suitcases, the two of you went straight to the bedroom. Chan walked in first and lay down on his bed, delighted at the completion of the renovation, while you stood in the doorway, seeing two beds, one a queen-size bed, the other a single, and two nightstands between them. Chan said, looking at you.

Chan: I got you a slightly bigger bed.

You didn't like it, but you had to quickly come to terms with it.

Weeks passed, then months, and you still didn't like the fact that you were sleeping separately, in different beds. Even after sex on your bed, when you fell asleep, Chan would still lie down on his bed and sleep there, leaving you alone. You were fed up with this and wondered what and how you could make it so that you were sleeping in the same bed, instead of separately in different beds.

One day, you were walking around the apartment sadly, unsure what to do about the two of you sleeping in the same bed instead of separate ones. Chan, of course, didn't know about this, so he only decided to ask that evening when you were sitting on your bed reading a book.

Chan: Kisa, why are you so sad all day?
