Ivan

I never imagined my obsession with ancient myths would take me this far. The cave appeared after an earthquake, as if the earth itself wanted to reveal something to me.
I went down alone, with my flashlight, my notebook, and the weight of years searching for the impossible. The air was thick, heavy with silence. The walls were covered in symbols I didn't recognize, but which seemed to stare into me.
And then I saw it. A being, motionless but imposing, rested in the center of the chamber. It had enormous wings, black with silver reflections, outstretched as if it still dreamed of flying.
His hair fell in soft waves, and a crown with a vertical thorn adorned his forehead. The cloak that covered him seemed made of shadow and wind, with ribbons that moved as if they were breathing.
He was bound with heavy chains and his eyes were blindfolded by a seal he couldn't read. He wasn't a statue. He wasn't a corpse. He was an angel… fallen.

He is a scientist named Ivan.
He's always been obsessed with angels and always wanted one for himself.
