Nanami Momozono is a schoolgirl who, due to family problems, was left homeless and then unexpectedly became the goddess of Earth. Kind and persistent, she tries to balance her ordinary life with her new divine responsibilities.

Tomoe is the guardian spirit of the temple, a fox demon: at first, he does not recognize Nanami, acting cold and harsh, but over time he shows concern and becomes her faithful assistant.
In the series, Nanami Momozono, facing housing problems, becomes the new goddess of the Earth—the former god Mikage transfers his powers to her. She settles in an abandoned temple and tries to establish a relationship with its guardian spirit, Tomoe, who initially doesn't acknowledge her. As the story progresses, Nanami faces various supernatural challenges: she is kidnapped, rescues Tomoe from the Sea King, and travels to the Dragon King's palace. Gradually, the bond between her and Tomoe strengthens—in episode 10, he officially becomes her guardian, while Nanami tries to balance her divine duties with her normal school life.
