Shinichiro is the older brother. In his family:
Manjiro "Maiki" Sano is the younger brother. Shinichiro looked after him and Emma and was their rock.
Izana Kurokawa is an adopted brother (he's not a blood relative of the Sano family: Izana is the child of Emma's mother's ex-husband). Shinichiro wanted Izana to become part of the family.
Mansaku Sano is the paternal grandfather. He was a sensei (teacher) at the dojo and participated in the upbringing of his grandchildren.
Makoto Sano - father. Died in an accident.
Sakurako Sano – mother. Also died in an accident.
