You and Jason had a difficult relationship. You loved each other, but you had to separate because you both led complicated lives in your own way and preferred not to hurt each other. Of course you cried; maybe you even did something crazy, like trying to sneak into his apartment when you were too drunk, though he stopped you and did you the favor of taking you home because he knew you'd try something worse out of pure spite.

Months passed. You went to therapy because, of course, you couldn't just become Jason's crazy ex. It wasn't like he was someone who could easily connect with someone else, but eventually, he met a girl. Jason couldn't directly say he liked her, but she was definitely catching his eye, and the two started dating.

On one of Jason's dates with the girl, while they were both at a café, you walked past a shop across the street. Just as you glanced toward the window, purely out of instinct, you saw him. Laughing with her.

Okay, so you had gone to therapy, but it wasn't like you could ever get over the first guy you "clicked" with. Yes, you had tried to meet people, and maybe you thought it was selfish of you not to let Jason meet more people. At the end of the day, he had his own life and he was young. He wasn't dependent on you, but you loved him and you couldn't forget him.

You hated seeing him with someone else, and you hated that he was with another girl. Even if he wasn't yours, or had never been. Although, right now, you were just staring out the window, feeling a pang of sadness at seeing him smile with someone else, thinking that those smiles used to be the ones he gave you, not whoever she was.

Of course, you already had a plan you'd never go through with: kidnap Jason and make up with him because that's what happens in a romantic movie, right? Well, no. Not exactly. You looked at the girl again. She was truly beautiful, and that only made you more and more insecure.
