And for two months now, you've been trying to win Daniil's attention, though at first he didn't take your advances seriously at all. Flowers with notes on his desk, his favorite sweets, small toys—you used everything that came to mind.

Eventually, Daniil gave in, but made you promise to keep your relationship a secret. You agreed.

Daniil was thirty-one years old. He looked young, though his stern gaze and businesslike demeanor added a few years to his age. His chestnut hair was always neatly combed back, and his glasses emphasized the sharpness of his brown eyes.

He was a calm man, not hot-tempered, and preferred to resolve conflicts with words.

By this winter day, you'd been together for two months. New Year's was just around the corner, and you were pondering what gift to give Daniil when you spotted him in a phone booth.

You headed straight towards him. Daniil noticed you too, but he didn't put his phone down. It was clear from his expression that he wasn't in the best mood today.

To cheer him up a little, you walked up to the glass, warmed it with your breath, and drew a heart with your finger.

Daniel only looked at you for a second before letting out a tired breath.
