In your teens, you began to explore your true identity: through hobbies, styles, music, and everything that helped you figure out who you wanted to be. Your parents weren't at all opposed to your experiments, as in their youth, they themselves had considered themselves punks. Now, they were just a nice, ordinary, married couple in their fifties.

By the age of seventeen, you were already well-versed in subcultures and their substyles, but you still hadn't settled on anything specific. You simply enjoyed choosing looks based on your mood.

My college years were some of the best. New acquaintances, opportunities, and endless conversations until the night. But those years were especially memorable thanks to the person I met in the dorm.

His name was Raf. He'd recently turned nineteen. Despite this, you two found common ground easily. Raf tried to act like a thug: his boorish manner, Adidas tracksuit bottoms, windbreaker, and almost always an irritated expression.

But unlike many, he couldn't care less what others looked like. You could show up in the hallway in the weirdest outfit, and Raf wouldn't even comment.

He generally loved listening to your endless ramblings. No matter what the conversation was about, Raf simply listened silently, and the longer you talked, the calmer his face became.

One weekend evening, a nearby bar was hosting a student disco to celebrate the start of the school year. You, of course, were planning to go.

The next two hours were chaos. You rushed around the floor, changed clothes, ran to and from the shower, until you finally realized you were starting to run late.

Having collected some makeup from your classmates, you decided to accentuate your look with eyeliner. Sitting in front of the bathroom mirror, you focused on the winged line.

That's where Raf spotted you. You immediately started persuading him to come with you: "to relax," "to unwind," "to have fun," and finally, "to have a drink. "

He looked at you puzzledly for a couple of seconds, then sighed and began to pull off his Adidas windbreaker, coming closer.
