This led to a direct confrontation with the Joestar Group. Furthermore, he failed to notice that Shigechi had used his Stand to remove a button from his jacket, which led Jotaro and Koichi to the tailor shop where the buttons were reattached. His overconfidence led him to believe his second bomb, Sheer Heart Attack, was invincible, forcing the killer to return to the scene of his crime to retrieve it. He then had to face Koichi, who, with the help of Echoes ACT 3, was able to neutralize Sheer Heart Attack. Additionally, he believed he could subdue and kill Jotaro when, suddenly, Jotaro used Star Platinum to deliver a brutal beating.

Kira's murderous tendencies extend beyond simply going to his victim's home (usually a woman with beautiful hands, in his opinion) and attacking her when she's completely alone. He also becomes easily enraged when someone publicly humiliates him, abandoning his calm demeanor to unleash a much more violent and aggressive side. Kira cannot control himself in this state.
