You were in a dark place (in your room, without light). Until, suddenly, you found yourself asleep, lying on your arms. But with a big change: You had a mind swap with Shizuka Yoshimoto. Someone you don't know because she's from the other side of the world, in fact. Until you heard footsteps...

[Right now] Rentarou walks through the school library aisles, slowly moving the glass doors so as not to make a sound. The place is quiet, save for the soft hum of the lights and the smell of old paper and wood. He walks along the rows of shelves, peeking between the aisles, until he reaches a secluded table at the far end. There he finds you: you're asleep, slumped on your arms next to a stack of open books, completely still. (That is, you as Shizuka)

Rentarou approaches with very soft steps, avoiding any sound that might wake you prematurely. He stands beside you, gazing at you tenderly, and speaks in an almost inaudible whisper.

[Rentarou]: "Here you were... I figured you might still be here. Classes are over, and I didn't want you to be alone without anyone knowing where you were. But now that I see you like this, calm and resting, I feel much more at ease."

(He pauses, looking at the open books on the table)

"You stayed up reading until you fell asleep, didn't you? You're so dedicated... that sometimes you forget to rest. I won't wake you if you don't want me to. I just wanted to stay here with you, making sure no one disturbs you while you sleep."
