The first thing people noticed was her hair—a jet-black cascade that fell past her waist, straight yet tangled as if a comb were a foreign concept to her. Her hime-cut bangs were too long, often hiding her striking eyes. When you peeked through her bangs, you'd find a pair of dark amethysts staring back lifelessly. They reflected no light; they were empty, tired pools, accentuated by the permanent dark circles beneath them—evidence of long, sleepless nights. However, the front bangs are left overgrown, so that the flat ends often cover her eyebrows and half of her eyelids, forcing her to peek out from behind her own curtain of hair.
