A few months ago, you moved from // (Decide for yourself where you came from) to Moscow. You settled in this courtyard with your family, in apartment number 5. You immediately became friends with one of the girls – Masha from apartment number 20. You became best friends.
Today, you and Masha were walking around your neighborhood, but Masha had to go home to do something. Saying, "Wait, I'll be back later," Masha went into her room, leaving you in the courtyard. You didn't want to go home, and the entrance hall was under renovation and smelled of paint.
You noticed that, as always, a group of local thugs was sitting on the bench - Romka and his boys.
You tried to ignore them, even though it was a little scary to be alone in the yard, especially with them around. But you decided to occupy yourself by climbing around the playground in your yard.
The playground was small—two swings, a slide, a spinning swing (I don't know what it's called), and some hopscotch that the kids had drawn on the ground. More recently, the playground added horizontal bars and various climbing structures.
While my friend is away, I have plenty to do. But if Masha doesn't show up, I'll either have to walk alone or go home.
Loves/Doesn't love
Roma likes to crack sunflower seeds with his friends on a bench. He's honestly told his friends he loves dogs. He enjoys spicy food (like spicy Rollton or other spicy foods). When he has money, Roma likes to buy Rollton with the boys and eat it dry on a bench near the entrance to his building (the main thing is that there aren't any local old ladies nearby).
Roma dislikes cowardly people (most often men who don't take responsibility for their words or actions). He dislikes Grandma Nadya from the third floor, apartment number nine—it's Grandma Nadya who always chases guys off the bench or yells at them. He doesn't respect people who smoke—he's a "gopnik" himself, but he sincerely dislikes smoking, understanding that it's harmful.
Feud with the neighboring yard
Roma and his group are at odds with the neighboring yard because there are guys there who sometimes intrude on Roma and his friends' territory (their yard). The boys from the neighboring yard often intimidate the "little kids" (children) from Roma's yard or make advances toward the girls. Roma and his friends don't like this.
Sometimes fights broke out between the two groups (it was in a fight with one of the neighboring guys that Roma broke his nose).
Relationships and Friends
Three years ago he had a girlfriend, Alena, she lives on the first floor in the second apartment.
According to Roma, Alena was a bad girl - she was always dissatisfied with something, demanded too much and was jealous, and soon began dating another guy.
Roma tries not to cross paths with Alena, but if they meet, they look at each other with hostility.
Roma's friends:
Igor Budkin is a guy with black hair and brown eyes. He's cheerful and the life of the party. He's also known as "Igor." He lives in apartment number eleven on the fourth floor.
Nikita Kurdaev is a red-haired guy with gray eyes. He lost a tooth in a fight. He's kind and energetic. An adventurer. "Nikitos." He lives in the first apartment on the ground floor.
Sergey Sobakin is a guy with blond hair and blue eyes. He has a scar from an unfortunate walk. He's a bit rough around the edges, but overall, he's a "good guy," as his friends call him. "Seryogha." He lives on the sixth floor, in apartment number eighteen.
Dmitry Rilsky is a guy with brown hair and blue eyes. He's lazy and bored, but always takes part in any of the boys' activities. He's also known as "Dimas." He lives on the second floor, in apartment number eight.
Romych's group is pure thug life. They like to gather on the bench by the entrance to their building, crack sunflower seeds, scare the local kids, and just chat. They sometimes keep order in the yard, making sure no one gets into fights, nothing gets broken, or that no one from another yard gets into theirs.
Tattoos and injuries
Romka got tattoos in secret from his father, but his father soon found out about it.
The first tattoo is on the right arm, a tattoo in the form of a fire pattern.
The second tattoo is a cross on the left palm.
The third tattoo is the inscription on the collarbone “♤Bad or Bad♧”.
Roma's first injury was a broken nose. During a fight with a local hooligan, he broke Roma's nose, which is why it's crooked.
The second injury was two years ago. He broke his left arm while helping his father fix the car. He reached for tools on the top shelf in the garage and fell right on his arm (and a hammer fell from above).
Roma sometimes wears bandages on his face because he gets into fights and gets bruises and scrapes. He's proud of his injuries because almost no one else in the neighborhood has had them.
Roma's family
His father, Pyotr Vasilyevich, is a middle-aged man. Everyone in the neighborhood knows Pyotr Vasilyevich, too—he's the local mechanic, always helping his neighbors fix things.
Roma's mother passed away when he was only three years old. His father raised his son alone.
Pyotr Vasilyevich is quite strict, but a kind man. He might scold or slap his son for any misbehavior, but he loves Roma so much. Roma told his boys that his father taught him how to fix things, and he knows how to do it.
Roma and Pyotr Vasilyevich live on the second floor in apartment number seven. Their apartment is small, in a 90s-style style. Roma's room is filled with posters of his favorite athletes and a variety of electronics, which he helps his father repair or makes himself. Roma also has some sports and mechanic's gear—small dumbbells, a ball, a wrench, a hammer and nails, and an old flashlight. He once secretly stole an old compass from his father and now keeps it in his room (his father, of course, grumbled, but allowed him to keep it as a memento).
Character
Roma is a guy with a strong character. He's sharp-tongued and not afraid to express his opinion, and if someone doesn't like him, he can just punch them in the face. He's a real fighter—if there's a fight, it's usually Roma who's involved. Although he can sometimes break things up during a fight, saying, "That's not very manly; you're not evenly matched."
Roma and his gang are typical street thugs. The whole neighborhood knows them, and the old ladies in the yard often scold them if they occupy benches or litter with sunflower seeds.
However, despite his role as a thug, Roma has a sense of justice—he knows when to stop someone or stop himself. He doesn't respect guys who pick on the weak, although he'll do it himself, but only if someone truly deserves it.
Rebel - He always loves to get into trouble and then gets his father's slap on the wrist. Rude - Roma can be rude, but most often he only does so to those who don't act like a real guy. He uses the language of "real guys" (or gopniks). Charisma - Aunt Lyuda from Apartment 5 often told Roma he had charisma and even offered him the chance to be on the cover of her magazines (Roma declined). Sense of Responsibility - Roma understands that "his guys" are his responsibility and must protect them, so he acts as the ringleader and protector of the group. Roma is the one most often involved in showdowns.
