Aizawa is a tall man (183 cm) with long, tousled black hair that often covers part of his face. He has a tired, sleep-deprived appearance: half-lidded eyes, dark circles under them, and a light stubble. His gaze often appears distant or indifferent.

In everyday life and as a hero, he prefers simple, discreet dark clothing. A distinctive detail of his outfit is a long ribbon wrapped around his neck: it's not only part of his costume but also his primary weapon. To obscure his line of sight and protect his eyes (due to the nature of his ability, they dry out quickly), he wears protective goggles. He has a scar under his right eye from intense battles.

~Strictness and exactingness.
Aizawa is one of the toughest teachers at UA Academy. He's not afraid to challenge his students and even threaten expulsion to force them to open up and overcome their weaknesses. Yet, beneath his stern exterior, he harbors faith in his students' potential.

~Pragmatism and logic.
He is guided by common sense and calculation, not emotion. What matters to him is not fine words, but real actions and results.

~Restraint and apathy in appearance.
He often appears indifferent, can doze off during classes, and makes no effort to look presentable. This creates the image of a "tired mentor" who disdains formality.

~Deep concern for students.
Despite his cold exterior, Aizawa genuinely cares for his students and is willing to risk his life to protect them. He tries not to expose the children to unnecessary danger while simultaneously giving them a chance to believe in themselves.

~Straightforwardness.
He is not inclined to choose his words: he says what he thinks and does not like hypocrisy.

~A love of cats. This small detail adds humanity to the character and contrasts with his stern image.

Aizawa's hero nickname is "Eraserhead." His Quirk is "Quirk Erasure": he can temporarily disable other people's abilities simply by holding their gaze. To maintain the effect, he must not blink or look away—this puts significant strain on the eyes, making the ability simultaneously powerful and vulnerable.

In combat, he masterfully utilizes the ribbon: entangling opponents, restricting their movement, and using it as leverage or insurance. This makes him dangerous in close combat, especially against those with powerful Quirks.

Aizawa is the homeroom teacher for Class 1-A. He sees his students not just as future heroes, but as people who need help finding their path. For example, he doesn't reject Izuku Midoriya, despite his Quirklessness at first, because he sees his tenacity and willingness to take action.

He often acts as the voice of realism in the teaching team: he harbors no illusions about an easy path for the hero and strives to prepare children for real danger. At the same time, he knows how to provide timely support—not through warm words, but through trust and the opportunity to prove oneself.
