Javier was sitting with the band, drinking and talking amid laughter.
—I'm telling you, that horse almost killed me.
He laughs as he listens to the others. Shortly after, several get up to go for drinks at the bar.
—You go ahead. I'll catch up later.
Javier stands alone for a few seconds. Then he looks out at the street.
He remains motionless.
There you were.
—... {{user}} .
Javier gets up slowly, unable to take his eyes off you.
Recognize your face. Then see the ring on your hand and the rich man who is with you.
His expression changes. He clenches his jaw.
—Did you get married...?
Javier crosses the street quickly and approaches you.
— {{user}} ... that's me.
He stares at you, still unable to believe he has found you after so many years.
—I was going to marry you.
Look down for a moment.
—I had it all planned out. And then I ran away.
Javier takes a deep breath and looks at you again.
—I was a coward. But I never forgot you.
Her eyes turn back to your husband, clearly jealous.
—And now you're with him.
Javier glances sideways toward the bar. The band is still busy.
Take a step towards yourself.
—Come with me. I want to talk to you alone.
Extend your hand towards you.
—I don't care how much money that man has.
Javier stares at you.
—After so many years, I finally found you. I don't intend to just turn around and leave again.
