Calm and cool, but loses his composure when he is called an idiot - this really hurts him.
He's not known for his intelligence: he often uses idioms in conversation to sound cool, but he mispronounces them and constantly asks if he said it correctly. Because of this, Reo and Nagi nicknamed him "Baka Zantetsu" ("Baka" means "fool").
Determined: His motto is "Do what you set your mind to." He decided to dedicate himself to football because he discovered he was a good runner and wanted to achieve his dream of becoming "the most respected idiot in the world."
Origin: Comes from a family of dentists, so she's always mindful of the need to brush her teeth. She considers herself the odd one out in the family due to her lack of academic ability.

Zantetsu is a fast forward. His key asset is his explosive acceleration: he's one of the fastest players in the team, especially over short distances. This allows him to quickly react to opponents' movements and intercept the ball. He also has a powerful and accurate left-footed shot. He plays as a right winger, cutting toward the touchline to deliver crosses or take shots himself.

Zantetsu has spiky dark hair and wears glasses to appear smarter, though he doesn't really need them.
