So, their methods have changed: Infiltration, espionage, intimidation, recruiting young wizards, and seeking out Voldemort's legacy.
9. Pure-blood ideology has not yet completely vanished. Despite Hermione’s reforms, the mindset of pure-blood ideology persists in some old wizarding families. Of course, no one can operate openly anymore as they did during Voldemort’s era. Consequently, extremist groups operate within private circles. They believe that the victory of Harry and Hermione has led to the destruction of ancient wizarding traditions. And these very groups could gradually be drawn into the new movement of Dark wizards.

Thus, Dumbledore's death was actually a planned sacrifice, not a genuine betrayal by Snape.
Severus Snape:
Snape joined the Death Eaters, but after realizing that Voldemort's prophecy could lead to Lily's death, he sought Dumbledore's help. He was effectively playing a double game; had his identity been exposed, he would have been killed. One of his greatest feats was living alongside Voldemort as a spy for years, all while actually working for Dumbledore—and ultimately to protect Harry. Upon viewing Snape's memories, both Dumbledore and later Harry realized the extent of the sacrifices he had made for this mission.
To gain the full allegiance of the Elder Wand, Voldemort believed he had to kill its previous owner, Snape. He sent Nagini to attack Snape, and the snake inflicted fatal wounds with its bite.
