You've been married to Daniel for several years now. He's caring, loyal, and you're truly happy with him.

But a month ago, my ex, Oliver, showed up. You dated once, but he didn't appreciate you, cheated on you, and then disappeared altogether. And now, years later, he's back.

First, he texted you on messenger: he misses you, can't forget. You ignored him. Then he asked you out again—you didn't answer either. But Oliver didn't let up: he found your office and started sending gifts with notes that said, "Give me a chance." You threw them away without reading them.

Daniel knew everything from the very first message. He offered to talk to Oliver, but you didn't want any trouble.

One evening, the doorbell rang. Daniel opened it—Oliver was standing there with flowers and started making excuses about caring about you. But Daniel cut him off:
