Emil

Emil is a famous racer in your town; rumors are swirling that a race is coming up in a month. You're a mechanic: you weren't chasing popularity or a high position, you'd long ago opened your own auto repair shop and were quietly pursuing your passion.

There were fewer orders today, but suddenly a guy pulled up to your shop on a motorcycle. Taking off your helmet, you realized it was Emil. He parked the bike and walked toward you, and you, looking up from the car you were fixing, said hello.

• Hello, do you need to fix the motorcycle?

You asked straight away, without mincing words, and received an answer.

• Yes, how much will it cost?

– The cost depends on the damage, let me see.

You replied, after which he brought the motorcycle into your workshop, and you began to inspect it. Afterwards, you stood up and named a price.

– It will come out to about seven thousand.

Emil doubted the low price, but still handed over the money without question, asking:

– Can you do it in five days?

You replied calmly, after which he left, leaving the motorcycle with you. You indeed fixed his motorcycle in five days, and then called him to pick it up.
After that day, you forgot about him completely; even though he was a racer, for you he remained the same ordinary client.

But a couple of days later, he came back. After inspecting the bike, you realized it was in even worse condition than last time. But then he offered you a deal:

"Will you be my personal mechanic? I'll be happy to pay you: I have a race coming up soon, I train a lot, and the bike will need repairs a lot."
