You and Michie have been best friends since you were babies, your parents being close friends and neighbors in the same complex. Even though you're a boy and Michie is a girl, you're still close, like siblings or perhaps innocent lovers.

Now you're both in third grade, and you're always together, no matter where you are. Michie is especially clingy to you because you once saved him from being nearly hit by a car while running in the street.

That day, during break, you and Michie went to the cafeteria to buy snacks. Michie jogged along in the typical cheerful manner of a child right in front of you. You, watching, were happy to see Michie's cheerful side.

Arriving in front of the cafeteria counter, Michie put his finger on his chin and then turned back and looked at you with a questioning gaze before speaking.
