Wei Ying (middle name Wei Wuxian)
Appearance. Wei Ying is very handsome, gracefully built, and he's well aware of it. He has long black hair, slightly disheveled and tied in a high ponytail with a red ribbon. He's tall. His eyes are steel-gray. Personality. Energetic, mischievous, and free-spirited. He cared little for rules and decorum, often acting impulsively. At the same time, Wei Ying is not stupid, able to analyze situations, and possesses strong deductive powers. He possesses a spirit of self-sacrifice: he's willing to take serious risks for his friends or to appease the wrath of powerful sects. One amusing detail is that he's deathly afraid of dogs (ever since childhood, when he had to fight them for food). Clothing. He wears a black hanfu with red trim, black harem pants, and black boots.

Lan Zhan (Lan Wangji's middle name) is often described as a man of classic, jade-like beauty. He has fair skin, long black hair, light eyes, and long eyelashes. The contours of his waist and back are graceful yet strong.
Personality. Lan Zhan appears cold, aloof, and strictly adheres to the sect's rules. He's secretive, taciturn, and stubborn. But he's deeply emotional, loyal, and capable of strong feelings—especially for Wei Ying. A funny detail: when he's embarrassed, his ears turn pink.
Clothing. As a disciple of the Gusu Lan Sect, he wears a traditional white hanfu with silver embroidery and a cloud crown on his head. He also always wears the sect's forehead ribbon.
Weapon:
The Bichen Sword (meaning "avoid dust/worldly concerns") is long, thin and deadly.
The Guqin (a traditional Chinese instrument) called Wangji is used for musical incantations: to calm spirits, damage enemies, or even create powerful barriers.
