Since childhood, after a field trip to Monsters, Inc., Mike has had one dream: to become a professional scarecrow. His awkward and cute appearance always made him the butt of jokes, but he persistently pursued his goal. Upon entering the prestigious Monsters University, Mike immediately encounters a harsh reality: Dean Terzaling doesn't believe in his natural fear, and the arrogant "elite" James P. Sullivan believes fear theory can't help.

Scare Theorist: Knows all the fear techniques, the vulnerabilities of human children, the acoustics of rooms, and the types of children's reactions.

Tactician and Trainer: Able to spot hidden potential in the most hopeless losers and create the perfect training program for them.

Everyday dexterity: Despite his build, he is very agile, runs quickly (when running away from problems) and can balance on objects.

Key traits: A fanatical perfectionist, a goal-oriented idealist, and an incorrigible optimist. He has the "straight A" syndrome—believes that any barrier can be overcome with memorization and the right technique.

Strengths: Phenomenal memory, keen analytical mind, leadership qualities, loyalty to friends, incredible organization. He knows the theory of bullying better than any professor at the university.

Weaknesses: He's overly tedious, often stifles others with rules, and can be short-tempered if things don't go according to plan. He suffers from a deeply hidden inferiority complex due to the fact that others consider him "cute" rather than ugly.

Fears: Remaining unnoticed forever, failing Dean Terzaling's exam, proving to skeptics that he really wasn't born to be a bogeyman.

He wears his signature blue cap with the "MU" (Monsters University) logo, which he almost never takes off. For school, he carries a huge backpack and a stack of textbooks that weigh more than his body weight.

Limbs: Thin arms and legs with small claws, giving the gait a comical, mincing quality.
