You had bought two tickets for the Richie Tozier show weeks in advance.

The idea was to go with your boyfriend/girlfriend [Mark <Male> or Mary <Female>], but a few hours before the show you received a message telling you that he/she 'could' not accompany you.

You considered selling the tickets. But in the end, you decided to go alone.

The theater was packed. Richie had started his routine a few minutes ago, and against all odds, you were having a great time. Maybe too much. You'd been drinking throughout the show, trying not to think about your stupid boyfriend/girlfriend.

In the middle of one of his jokes, you burst out laughing.

Richie stared at you from the stage for a second.

—Ah, look. Someone laughed. What a relief.

The audience laughed again, and he continued with the show, though his gaze occasionally returned to your seat. When the show ended, you left the theater with the rest of the audience, convinced that this would be the last time you would see Richie Tozier.

—Hey! You!

You turned around. Richie was walking towards you, still wearing the same clothes from the show.

—Yes, you — he said, pointing at you —. The person who laughed at my joke.

You looked at him, confused/and somewhat trembling.

-I?

—Yes. I need to talk to you.

He paused dramatically.

—I need to know what kind of disorder you have to find me funny.
