Because of her wealthy upbringing, she has a sensible and respectful attitude toward others, often being discouraged by discourteous behavior.Momo typically takes adverse situations in stride, expressing little concern for losing most of her clothing in battle, as she knows how to construct another set and would have made her costume even more revealing were it not for restrictions on exposed skin in a costume. However, this often makes others think of her as an exhibitionist, although, ironically, she is relatively innocent and sensitive to vulgarity and rude mannerisms, constantly frustrated by sexual advancements from Minoru Mineta and the crude attitude of Katsuki Bakugo. Thanks to this practice, Izuku has developed a great analytical mind and can form complex battle plans in a few seconds, factoring in the best ways he can utilize the Quirks of allies and enemies alike for his own advantage.

Izuku externalizes his observations through endless mumbling, a habit that annoys or creeps out his peers. Izuku often writes down his observations in a variety of notebooks he titles as Hero Analysis for the Future; he checks on them regularly during school activities, during his free time, or at night.

Izuku is a somewhat short young man, with his round face being framed by a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair with bangs that fall just over his eyes. His hair curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with his irises being the same shade of green as his hair, which at times are very watery, and are usually stretched quite wide, giving him an innocent, energized appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek. He has often been described as "plain-looking" or "not standing out" by others. At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt and dark blue-green dress pants, along with a red tie which he doesn't do up properly, leaving it much shorter than how it should be. Instead of the plain brown shoes worn by the majority of the student body, he still sports his signature red shoes.Izuku's first Hero Costume, known as "Costume Alpha", was made by his mother. It was a light green full-body jumpsuit with white outlines, a red belt with a black buckle and four red pouches on the side, black elbow and knee pads, and white gloves, along with his signature red boots. He also wears a full-head cowl with long ear-like protrusions that resembles All Might's haircut, and a translucent respirator with a white makeshift smile on it that also reflects that of said hero. The costume was severely damaged as a result of his first battle against Katsuki Bakugo and had to be repaired, so during the U.S.J. Arc, Izuku had to wear his U.A. gym uniform. Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, self-centered, and aggressive person, especially during his middle school days. Despite his desire to become a Pro Hero, his personality often comes off as uncouth at best and unheroic at worst. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to his early childhood days, where he gained an inflated ego as a result of being praised excessively for his powerful Explosion Quirk, leading him to bully a young, Quirkless, Izuku Midoriya. He was extremely arrogant and condescending toward those around him, often bragging about the power of his Explosion, and even boasting that he would take on his entire class. He frequently showed hostility towards Izuku, mainly because of his former Quirkless status, and would constantly put down his dream of becoming a Hero due to him lacking a Quirk, alongside giving him the insulting nickname of "Deku" (meaning useless and unable to achieve anything).He even threatened Izuku not to apply to U.A. High School and became angry when both of them passed the Entrance Exam, wanting to be the only person from his "garbage middle school" to make it there; showing that he has no qualms over hurting other people to get what he wants and is, by his own admission, a perfectionist. He further demonstrated himself to be cruel and merciless, obsessed with showing off his power by harming Villains even if they are immobilized.[10][11]

However, after being accepted into U.A. and experiencing several personal defeats, one of them even coming from Izuku, Katsuki has gradually changed into a less antagonistic person, albeit still retaining a lot of his unpleasant traits. Despite often being portrayed negatively, Katsuki's fierce character and competitive drive have granted him an important role among Class 1-A, as a sort of inspirational mood-maker.[12]Katsuki has a more vulnerable side, having been led to tears due to damaged pride a few times. Katsuki is a young man of above-average height with a slim, muscular build. He has short, spiky, sandy blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows, and sharp, intense bright red eyes that are usually fixed in anger.At U.A., he wears the standard U.A. uniform, although without the customary red tie. A few buttons are undone at the top of his white-collared shirt, and his pants are worn loosely, sagging at his ankles despite him wearing a belt with them. After the Paranormal Liberation War, Katsuki's school uniform is worn in a much neater fashion, which includes the red tie he previously forwent.His Hero Costume consists of a tight, black, sleeveless tank top featuring an orange "X" across the middle, creating a V-neck design, with two black dots along the left side of the collar, which is the trademark of his costume's designer, Sasori Nimaru.[8][9] The outfit includes a neck brace with rectangular ends, each having three holes on the side and front. Toru is a bubbly, cheery, and easygoing girl who does most things with an upbeat attitude, even when manipulated, such as when she encouraged the other Class 1-A girls to cheerlead during the U.A. Sports Festival due to having the spare time. She is very socially eager and likes shopping, and her room suggests that she likes plushies and other cute things. Like Mina Ashido, Toru also appears to be something of a romantic, eagerly wanting to hear who Ochaco Uraraka was interested in and encouraging the other girls to talk about love during their slumber party.[7]

She believes that taking off her clothes during battle is a tactical advantage, much to the awkwardness of those around her. That being said, she seems blissfully unaware of what it means to be invisible, such as displaying slight embarrassment at the idea of being seen undressing, a trait that shows up even when she's wearing her hero costume, which features almost no clothing in the first place. In general, Toru's invisible body is primarily used as a source of comic relief.Despite this, Toru is by no means a pushover. An energetic, yet focused and reliable member of Class 1-A, she is always ready to lend a hand, be it in battle or helping to support and provide for others when needed, such as when she aided in the Nabu Island evacuation and helped with handing out food to the island's residents.[8]

Fumikage is reserved, serious, and focused, albeit noble and valiant. Though not talkative, Fumikage will directly ignore questions or requests that seem pointless (like Tenya Ida asking him not to sit on a desk) while he talks to other people as some ongoing joke. When Fumikage teams up with others, he becomes more sociable, helping his teammates out, reassuring his trust in them, and thanking them for their effort. During combat, Fumikage is known to be fierce and dependable, with his strength and capabilities rarely being questioned.

Fumikage embodies a stereotypical chūnibyō at heart, he is fond of darkness and other related concepts; considering himself a "creature of the dark" and employing archaic-sounding speeches that paint him as slightly creepy or dramatic. Nevertheless, Fumikage is somewhat insecure about his interests because they are more on the arcane, fantastical side and, thus, more challenging for others to understand or relate to. He also gets easily embarrassed when it comes to his interests, as seen when he refused to show his dorm room at first, and soon getting embarrassed and angry when his classmates barged in and saw his room's decorations.

Fumikage is a short young man with the head of a black bird, possibly supposed to resemble that of a crow or a raven. He has a yellowish beak, which is slightly hooked down at the end, thin, red eyes with a small black pupil, one on each side of his head, and a red choker. Despite the appearance of his head, however, his body looks like an average human, with relatively fair skin. Lady tried flirting with him) or when trying to read between the lines (such as when he inquired about Izuku Midoriya possibly also having two Quirks after he first used Blackwhip).While usually quiet and reserved, Shoto initially possessed a moderate level of arrogance, which, combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes made him take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, displaying confidence that he could take on any obstacles with his own strength. He used to be much more unfriendly as well, to the point where his cold attitude caused Inasa Yoarashi to resent him while he was none the wiser. Even in the present, Shoto seems to prefer acting alone, although he only does this for practical purposes since doing so allows him to unleash his full power without worrying about friendly fire. Calm and composed yet brutal in combat, Shoto is well-grounded on the ethics of heroism, only wishing to subdue his frozen opponents instead of killing them by prolonging the freezing.

Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys hanging out with others. He is rather casual when interacting with other people, including the generally unfriendly Katsuki Bakugo, although he's not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels annoyed or shocked enough. Denki may come off as blunt and reckless at times but is always well-meaning. He is also the type of person who encourages others to be themselves and be more comfortable doing what they like, as seen when he complimented Kyoka's skill with multiple musical instruments during preparation for the U.A. School Festival. Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards the girls in and out of his class, sometimes accompanying Minoru Mineta on his schemes and trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. He is not very lucky with his approaches, though, frequently having his advances ignored or outright rejected by those he asks out. Denki is also a bit of a jokester and sometimes teases others with playful comments. Overall, Denki is interested in appearing cool and trendy to impress people but has a shallow understanding of how to do so properly. Because of that, he is easily influenced by what's popular or stylish at the moment, even if it's due to Villain action.

Mashirao has a very calm and noble attitude and a profound sense of dignity, which prevents him from accepting results he doesn't feel he earned with his own abilities. He is also described as a hard worker.

Along with a strong sense of dignity, Mashirao can be described as sheepish and bashful, not very often enjoying the spotlight and being easily embarrassed. He is humble yet also reliable and focused during hero work. A recurring joke is that others view Mashirao as "plain," which profoundly upsets him, showing that he's sensitive and self-conscious about his personality and abilities. He tends to be shocked quite easily, such as when he sees Ochaco punch herself in the face and when Eri receives a much bigger sword than her during Class 1-A's Christmas party. Occasionally, Mashirao will hang his tail over his shoulder, presumably to take the weight of it off of his lower body. Additionally, when something excites him, he wags his tail, though this is only ever seen in the manga.

Appearance
Mashirao is a slim yet muscular young man with short, straight blond hair swept to the front of his head, and thin eyes with no lower eyelashes. Due to his Quirk, he also has a large, thick prehensile tail, which is entirely hairless, save for the tip, similar in color to his hair. At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt, dark blue-green dress pants, a red tie. He replaces the usual brown dress shoe with he wears pale gray sneakers.

Mashirao's Hero Costume consists of a plain karate gi, tied with a black belt with blue accessories, with the left side of his collar partially lined with fur, similar in color to his hair. He also wears black boots with light blue accents. He later dons blue fingerless gloves before the Provisional Hero License Exam.

Other students have described Ochaco as "the most laid-back girl" in her class, being very bubbly and was once kind of an airhead sometimes. She is often incredibly blunt without being aware of it. Similar to Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she often becomes amused at certain personality traits and quirks others exhibit, bursting into laughter at times, which she tries to suppress.

Ochaco is a warm, cute, lively individual who thinks about everything positively, though she is objective enough to see flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance. Ochaco is very good at reading people, understanding the reasons for Izuku and Katsuki Bakugo's rivalry, and being the first to notice when the usually collected Tsuyu Asui was upset.

Her empathy and kindness are also seen in how well she gets along with her classmates. She is on good terms with everyone and is particularly close friends with several class members, including Izuku, Tenya Ida, Tsuyu, etc. To add to her positivity, Ochaco was also the one who inspired the positive meaning of Izuku's nickname "Deku", finding it similar to the Japanese phrase "to be able to do" (できる, dekiru?), causing Izuku to accept his previously insulting nickname and later choose it as his hero name. Despite her cheery and sometimes ditzy demeanor, Ochaco can take on an extremely determined, focused, and somewhat intimidating attitude when the situation demands and requires it. This side of her personality can surprise those who are used to her generally bubbly nature, and it tends to appear during competitive situations like the U.A. Sports Festival.

Appearance
Ochaco is a young teenage girl with a slender yet curvy figure, fair skin, and auburn hair with eyes that match in color. She has perpetual pink blush marks on her cheeks, and her eyes are large and round with thick upper lashes and pronounced lower lashes. Her hair is above shoulder-length with short, side swept bangs hanging above her eyebrows, and her hair is bobbed with two shoulder-length long locks of hair framing her face. She has small, pink, thick pads on her fingertips similar to the digits of an animal's paws; she uses these when activating and deactivating her Quirk.
At U.A, she wears the regular U.A. uniform for female students. It is topped with a gray dress jacket, two teal stripes, two pockets with folds, and two golden buttons. Underneath, she wears a white dress shirt, a red tie with a small, golden button, and a teal pleated skirt. She also wears brown dress shoes and black tights instead of the usual knee-high socks worn by most other female students.

Her initial Hero Costume consists of a black, full-body suit with a pale pink design down the middle of her torso, topped with two black semi-spheres on her chest, which is the trademark of her costume's designer, Sasori Nimaru.[5][6], with two pink stripes starting at her midsection, a deep pink choker, and two-toned pink sleeves with black cuffs, starting above her elbows. She also wears pale pink round gauntlets with deep pink handles, which are used to increase and decrease her blood pressure, pale pink chunky, knee-high boots with deep pink shock-absorbent soles and grey heels that have stiff springs in them to soften landings, and a two-piece pale pink belt with a deep pink round buckle. She sometimes wears matching headgear with a tinted, transparent glass visor as well, which is used to lessen stress on her ear canals. Her accessories are designed to press her acupuncture points, but the tightness of her costume was an error due to her not being specific enough in her request.

Tenya may look severe, unfriendly, and even intimidating at first glance, but in reality, he's straightforward, earnest, intelligent, sophisticated, disciplined, and noble, although a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. A testament to his generally hyperactive and intense behavior, Tenya often exhibits plenty of peculiar tics, such as moving his arms around in strange chopping patterns or sometimes twitching his body uncontrollably; yet he rarely sheds his usual strict expression.

Tenya tends to take everything very seriously and is known for habitually jumping to conclusions, then enthusiastically speaking or acting based on said conclusions. For example, after assuming that Izuku had figured out the true nature of the U.A. Entrance Exam (even though Izuku was only acting on a whim), Tenya started to acknowledge him as a worthy peer and has since held him in high esteem. Furthermore, Tenya always attempts to immerse himself heavily into practical exercises, playing his part as a Hero or Villain in an overly theatrical manner, as an attempt to appear more authentic.Tenya is extremely dedicated to his studies and is always eager to learn new things, regardless of whether they have anything to do with Heroics. As Class 1-A's representative, Tenya is obsessed with organization and discipline, expecting his classmates to follow suit, which more often than not annoys them due to his usually loud and overbearing nature. At the same time, Tenya takes personal responsibility for the safety and guidance of his classmates in times of crisis, considering it his duty as class representative to protect and keep them away from dangerous situations should they ever arise. Tenya knows how to quickly respond to emergencies, downplay panic and disorder among bystanders.

Appearance
Tenya is a tall and muscular young man with a wide frame. He has short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square, blue eyes (gold-colored eyes in the manga) which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He usually wears a serious expression, and his eyebrows seem permanently pointed inwards, quite thin and long, the far ends sharply hooked inwards, and he wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Because of his Quirk, he possesses calves that are incredibly thick, and shaped like automobile engines, with six silver exhaust pipes protruding from each leg in columns of three. He gains new mufflers after removing the old ones from his legs, with them being longer and shaped a bit differently, although they can retract into his calves. At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt, dark blue-green dress pants, a red tie, and plain brown shoes.

His Hero Costume consists of a dark blue one-piece suit with a high collar, over which he wears various pieces of armor, all in a white color, including a chest plate, a armor collar around his neck and another around his upper arm, and metal vambraces that extend past his elbows pointed at the ends. He wears a helmet covering his entire face, along with visually making his eyes fully white, its sharp bevor full of holes to allow him to speak and breathe easily, and its upper piece rounded over his head with two larger holes on either side, two curved horns just behind and a single spike sticking out of the back of his head.

On his feet, he wears white knee-high boots with golden accessories, which are specialized for his Quirk, and around his torso, he has three thick metal pipes, attached with a blue band with yellow tips, although these only serve as decoration. His armor is very lightweight and does not protect him much

Tsuyu is straightforward and aloof, speaking bluntly from her mind and freely expressing what she thinks about others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu" (梅雨ちゃん, Tsuyu-chan) but only by people she views as friends.[7] She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan", save for teachers and other authority figures.

Tsuyu's parents were always busy at work, requiring her to become the caretaker of her two younger siblings at a young age. Under these circumstances, Tsuyu grew into a highly mature and responsible individual who could divide her attention between school and home duties without letting one intervene with the other. This balance also means that Tsuyu knows how to lead and look after people, keeping them safe and at ease if they don't feel so. She has strong morals, goals, and principles and is willing to oppose her friends to defend them from rash decisions. When several members of Class 1-A agreed to rescue Katsuki Bakugo after the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion, Tsuyu was the most outspoken against it, asserting that acting on their emotions and breaking the law to rescue him made them essentially the same as Villains.[8]

Tsuyu is noticeably calm and collected, staying levelheaded and focused even during the most stressful situations. An honor student since middle school, Tsuyu has excellent judgment, can communicate her intentions easily, and is rarely moved by emotion, making her an incredibly dependable ally capable of covering for a partner's weaknesses. For those reasons, Recovery Girl describes her as a "perfect pillar of emotional support".[9]

Appearance
Tsuyu is a short girl of a relatively slender build and has notably large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a wide mouth, which dips down a little in the middle just like a common frog, and oval-shaped eyes with large, black irises, with lower eyelashes being visibly pronounced. Between her family, Tsuyu's frog-like traits are the least pronounced. She also demonstrates some frog-like mannerisms, such as hopping on all fours instead of running and holding herself in a way that is somewhat connotative of a frog.

Her hair is a dark sea-green color and is very long, reaching to her hips with the ends tied together at the bottom in a large bow of hair. She has two armpit-length clumps framing her face and shorter bangs between her eyes, some partially swept to each side. At U.A, she wears the regular U.A. uniform for female students. It is topped with a gray dress jacket, two teal stripes, two pockets with folds, and two golden buttons. Underneath, she wears a white dress shirt, a red tie with a small, golden button, and a teal pleated skirt. She also wears brown dress shoes and knee-high socks.

Her intial Hero Costume consists of a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, beige-colored gloves with large green buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one above her breasts, a strap at either side going around her shoulders, and one around her waist, little green orbs embedded into it all the way around. Two black lines run down her suit, each framed with a yellow outline, and she wears tight black boots with yellow markings in the shape of a "V" on her thighs and green webbed flippers resembling frogs' toes on her feet. She wears a headband with a color matching that of her gloves and goggles with dark green-tinted lenses attached on either side and a thin dark green mask that goes along the middle of her face.

Mina is a cheerful and easygoing girl who usually displays a smile. Highly social and excitable, she loves to hang out with her friends and is shown to become very upset when denied an opportunity to be at a gathering. She possesses a strong fashion sense and likes to go shopping and likes to talk with her friends.

Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina enjoys and is very skilled at dancing. Her demeanor becomes more strict and perfectionist when teaching others how to dance, in direct contrast to her usual happy-go-lucky nature. She is known to use her dancing to somehow pacify even those who have bad relationships with others. Mina is somewhat of a romantic and holds a lot of interest over other people's love lives, to the point of being obnoxiously curious and intrusive about them. Her suspicions, however, tend to be rather baseless most of the time, as she seems to view any instance of a pairing as possible proof of a relationship regardless of compatibility.

Mina's academic performance is quite poor, with Mina goofily laughing about it despite showing clear anxiety and frustration. Because of that, she is often viewed as an airhead by her classmates (second only to Denki Kaminari). However, with proper tutoring, she does appear to show dedication to her studies.

Appearance
Mina is a girl of medium height, set a little more broadly than some of her other female classmates, with, according to her profile, "healthy thighs". Due to her Quirk, her skin is a light shade of pink, and she has somewhat square-shaped eyes with black sclerae, yellow irises and notably long eyelashes below and around the sides of her eyes. Minoru Mineta once commented that "she's got a super athletic body". Her face is framed by short, fluffy, unruly pink hair that is slightly darker than her skin. She also has two thin pale yellow horns protruding from her head, hooked squarely and leaning diagonally to opposite sides, which seem to be slightly flexible, able to bend a bit to each side.

During her time in Mustafa Private Middle School, her uniform was a plain white seifuku with a black Kansai collar and skirt, a single white trim on both, paired with a red scarf that is tied below, and sporting white knee high socks and brown outdoor school shoes.

At U.A, she wears the regular U.A. uniform for female students. It is topped with a gray dress jacket, two teal stripes, two pockets with folds, and two golden buttons. Underneath, she wears a white dress shirt, a red tie with a small, golden button, and a teal pleated skirt. She also wears brown dress shoes and knee-high socks.

Her Hero Costume, Prism Sky,[5] consists of a plain white mask with thin lines over her eyes and a purple and turquoise skintight bodysuit with a camouflage pattern, ending just above her breasts. Over this, she wears a cropped, sleeveless, beige-colored waistcoat with white fur along its collar, which she leaves unbuttoned. She wears custom made plum violet and beige acid-proof boots with holes in the soles, allowing her to secrete acid from her feet to slide around.

Appearance
Yuga is a young man with a slim build and a feminine face. He has long blond hair, worn flattened down around most of his head, spiked and sticking out to the sides at the bottom with a side fringe that slightly curves upwards before it curves down. He has notably long eyelashes and bright indigo eyes (light blue in the manga), giving him the appearance of a young prince.

His Hero Costume consists of a black bodysuit, over which he wears a suit of metallic lavender armor with golden accents; a chest plate, two spherical shoulder pads, elbow-length vambraces, and knee-length boots. His chest plate has a high V-neck collar with a golden Greek fret-like trim, as with the lower diaphanous piece under the belt and the edges of the vambraces. It also comes with a long, glittery indigo cape and a belt with a golden ring-shaped buckle with a blue crystal, from which he emits his Quirk, matching the smaller ones over his shoulder pads and knees. He has straight, angled golden lines running down his baggy pants, a matching set around the shafts of his boots, and a long red-tinted wing-shaped visor over his eyes.

Eight years after the Final War, Shota's personality has remained mostly the same as he is shown with Izuku, who has become a fellow teacher at U.A., discussing his former Class A students and how far they have come since graduating and becoming Heroes. Despite this, Shota's strict attitude has remained as he urges Izuku to be more strict with his students, saying that those accepted into U.A. are now guaranteed to become Pro Heroes and that they can't afford to be soft on them. Ironically, Izuku points out how nice Shota was to him and his classmates while they were all students.[2]

Shota was very disturbed upon discovering Oboro's true fate; that his corpse was used to create Kurogiri, a Nomu who served the League of Villains. He displayed intense grief upon confronting Kurogiri, showing that Shota has not yet come to terms with his friend's fate, and was driven to tears while trying to reach Oboro. It is revealed here that Shota, both as a teacher and as Eraser Head, is strict toward his students because he doesn't want them to die needless deaths like Oboro, but also wants them to become strong heroes who will go on to live long and happy lives, something that Oboro was denied.

Furthered by this tragedy, Shota is shown to be especially wrathful toward individuals who provoke him, especially by harming those he cares about. This was seen when he strangled Kyudai Garaki after learning of the desecration of Oboro's corpse, blocking Kyudai's longevity Quirk and tormenting the aged scientist. In a show of sheer rage, Shota pledged to avenge all the loved ones of people who were turned into Nomu, telling Kyudai it was time that the Heroes all took something from him.

Shota is also quite nurturing, as he has been seen attending to his duties as Eri's temporary guardian without complaint; he has demonstrated to be very attentive and involved in his role as a provider even outside of his duties as a teacher and mentor. Thanks to his Erasure, Shota was able to keep Eri's dangerous Rewind Quirk in check, and was later able to help teach her how to control it by using small ounces of Rewind to heal bugs and lizards.

Despite his personality, Shota has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor: he often grins whenever he is impressed by one of his students[6][21] or after he tricks them with one of his "rational deceptions."[15][17]
During his time as a student at U.A. High School, Shota was a gloomy and introverted young man who held severe doubts over whether he could be a hero, as his Quirk, Erasure, while useful, couldn't do much by itself. However, his friendship with Oboro Shirakumo and Hizashi Yamada helped bring him out of his shell. Oboro's words of encouragement were pivotal in Shota's growth, helping him realize that there was still much he could do and that his friends were there to help him if needed. While he wasn't interested in pursuing any popularity as a hero, he still agreed with Oboro's idea for the three of them to start a Hero Agency, realizing that they helped draw out each other’s strength and potential.

Shota Aizawa
Shota has proven to be very vocal and unafraid when expressing his ideas. He has mentioned on several occasions that some of U.A.'s choices when it comes to examinations are not practical or challenging enough for real hero hopefuls and is adamant about having certain systems used by the institution changed.[16] He also blatantly stated that he did not believe Izuku Midoriya could become a hero when they first met.[6] He is also known for lying to his students in order to manipulate them into giving their best, a technique he describes as a "logical ruse" or "rational deception".[17]

Despite his apathetic traits, Shota genuinely cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them. He saved Tsuyu Asui from being decayed by Tomura Shigaraki, in spite of his grievous injuries.[18] He has also expressed belief in his students on multiple occasions and is confident that even the likes of Katsuki Bakugo would not be swayed by the League of Villains.[19] Recovery Girl even implied that he allowed himself to be captured by Momo Yaoyorozu during her First Term Final Exam in order to help restore her confidence.[20] Even with his stern demeanor, Shota has a softer side that shows itself on occasion, genuinely wanting the best for all his students and being confident they will all go on to become great Heroes.
