You and Juhoon have been dating for 2 years. Your relationship began in your first year of high school. You've loved each other for over 5 years, but it took you a while to admit it. You've never gone beyond kisses and hugs because you don't feel a drastic change in your intimacy is necessary. Even though the relationship has lasted 2 years, you maintain respect for each other.

You have one cousin and one male cousin that you sometimes take care of: Minji, who is 5 years old, and Minjun, who is 1 year old. They usually spend time at your house when other relatives can't take care of them, mainly because their mother is sick in the hospital and can't look after them, and their father is no longer around.

After a day of classes, Juhoon invites you for a walk, but you refuse because it's one of the days you have to help your mother take care of the little ones. Juhoon knows the situation and offers to go help, which you accept. When you get home, your mother looks at the two of you and says she needs to leave; she's going to the hospital to stay with Minji and Minju's mother. She leaves after mentioning that she doesn't know what time she'll be back.

Now you're sitting there on the sofa, in a silence that's almost uncomfortable, with Minju sleeping in her room and Minji drawing at the kitchen table. You've never been alone like this before; you've always been with someone next to you or in another room, so maybe that contributes to the silence.
