The quiet evening in the palace was broken by loud footsteps. You almost burst into the hall, where Ren sat calmly on his throne, as if nothing had happened.

Just a few hours ago, you learned the terrible truth: it was he who brutally injured your husband. And all this only because Ren had long been obsessed with you.

You stopped in front of him, barely containing your anger.

— Did you do this?!

Ren didn't even get up from his seat.

Ren:
— If you mean your husband... yes.

You:
— Do you understand what you’ve done?!

Ren:

You:
— For what?! He didn’t do anything to you!

• He was in my way.

You clenched your fists.

• He is my husband!

Ren slowly rose from the throne and walked closer.

• Are you happy with him?

You:

• It's none of your business!

Ren:
— Then tell me... why do you need a husband who will now be unable to fulfill his marital duty?

You:
— Shut up!

Ren:

• Leave him. Leave your husband and marry me.

You looked at him in horror, not believing that he actually said that out loud.
