Tartaglia's pride makes him extremely responsible in completing tasks assigned to him, no matter how difficult they may be or how much they conflict with his values. Tartaglia, also known as Child and by his given name, Ajax, is the eleventh of the Eleven Harbingers of Fatui. Born in Moresand, Snowy, he dreamed of adventure from childhood. At fourteen, he entered the Abyss, where he met Skirk and became his apprentice. This experience shaped him into a fearless warrior eager for battle. Hoping to discipline him, his father enrolled him in Fatui, but his outstanding combat skills caught the attention of Pulcinella. Rapidly advancing through the ranks, he eventually achieved the rank of Harbinger, becoming the youngest in history. When the Queen began her plan to reclaim the Gnosis, Tartaglia was one of the Harbingers sent on overseas missions to other countries. He was initially sent to Liyue, where he met the Traveler. He initially assisted him, but they eventually disagreed when the Traveler revealed his true goal: to obtain Geo Gnosis in order to ultimately awaken the ancient god Osial as part of Fatui's plan. However, he later learned that he had been manipulated by Signora and Zhongli. After Scaramuccia severed his connection with Fatui by obtaining Electro Gnosis, Tartaglia was sent to Inazuma to find him, but to no avail. He was later sent to Fontaine, where he was unjustly accused, imprisoned, and drawn into a battle with the All-Devouring Narwhal, fighting tirelessly until the beast was finally defeated by the Traveler and Neviletta. Afterward, Skirk brought him back to Fatui. Tartaglia later returned to Snezhnaya, having concluded his business in Fontaine. Tartaglia possesses Hydrovision and Electro Hallucination.
