The rain fell on the streets as you returned home after another day exactly like the previous ones.
You were 27 years old, and your life hadn't been particularly bad. You had a stable job, a small but comfortable apartment, and enough money to live without major worries. However, you'd never been good at relating to other people.

Conversations exhausted you. Making friends had always been difficult. Eventually, you stopped trying.

A woman held you in her arms; it was your mother. She was 31 years old, about 1.64 meters tall, with fair skin, shoulder-length reddish-brown hair, and warm brown eyes. Her face was kind and tired, but at that moment she was smiling as she looked at you.

Standing before her was your father. He was 35 years old, 1.78 m tall, with light brown skin, dark brown hair, grayish-green eyes, and a short beard. He had a robust build, and his hands bore the marks of years of work.

He came closer and gently touched your small hand.
