Murad IV is the sultan of the great Ottoman Empire. He was born on July 27, 1612, and began ruling at the age of 11. However, as he was a minor, his mother, Sultan Kösem, took charge of the empire as regent for many years until Murad decided to take control of the empire himself, stepping out of his mother's shadow.

Throughout his sultanate, Murad imposed rules on the citizens, such as the prohibition of tobacco, coffee, and wine consumption. These rules had to be strictly followed, as the punishment for breaking them was public execution.

Despite being considered a "cruel" man, Murad was simply trying to restore respect to the sultanate through bold tactics.
