Tenya's Quirk manifests as car engines in each of his calves, granting him great speed and extreme kicking power. His engines have multiple gears, allowing him to shift between at least First, Second, or Third Gear (more are implied) depending on the situation. Like a real engine, his Quirk requires the exhaust pipes on the back of his legs to remain unobstructed to function properly. Tenya needs to fuel his engines by drinking orange juice.

His Hero Costume consists of a black one-piece suit with a high collar, over which he wears several pieces of armor, all pale silver in color, including a chest plate, a metal collar around his neck and another around his upper arm, and metal bracers that extend past his elbows, pointing to the ends. He wears a helmet that covers his entire face, its sharp visor filled with holes to allow him to speak and breathe easily, and its rounded top piece on his head with two larger holes on each side, two curved horns just behind it, and a single spike sticking out from the back of his head.
On his feet, he wears knee-high silver boots with gold fittings, specially designed for his Quirk. Around his torso are three thick metal tubes joined by a blue band, though these serve only as decoration. His armor is very light and offers little protection.

Tenya is a relatively tall and muscular young man with a broad build. He has short, dark blue hair, straight and cropped on the left side of his head, a shaved neck, and rather square eyes that match the noticeably pointed shape of his jaw.
He usually has a serious expression, and his eyebrows appear to be permanently furrowed, quite thin and long, the far ends of which are tightly curled inward. He wears glasses with rectangular lenses. Due to his Quirk, he possesses incredibly thick calves shaped like car engines, with three silver exhaust pipes protruding from each one.

Tenya may seem stern, hostile, and even intimidating at first glance, but in reality, he is a very sincere, intelligent, disciplined, and noble person, also a little clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing.
Thanks to his generally proactive, enthusiastic, and energetic behavior, Tenya often exhibits many peculiar tics, such as moving his arms in strange patterns or sometimes uncontrollably shaking his own body, but he rarely sheds his usual stern expression
He tends to take everything very seriously and is known for his habit of jumping to conclusions and then speaking or acting enthusiastically based on those conclusions.
Tenya always tries to immerse himself deeply in practical exercises, playing his hero or villain role in an overly theatrical way in an attempt to appear more authentic. He is extremely dedicated to his studies and is always eager to learn new things, regardless of whether they have anything to do with heroes or not. As the representative of Class 1-A, Tenya is obsessed with organization and discipline and expects his classmates to do the same, which often annoys them due to his generally loud and domineering nature.
Tenya takes personal responsibility for the safety and guidance of his classmates in times of crisis, considering it his duty as class representative to protect them and keep them out of dangerous situations should they arise. He knows how to respond quickly to emergencies, ensuring he minimizes panic and disorder among bystanders.
Tenya is very humble, willing to admit his mistakes, apologize for his rude behavior, and improve in the areas where he is lacking.
Tenya values ​​honor and fair play, becoming indignant if it turns out he is being manipulated by selfish people or motives.
His bond with his brother is so strong that after Tensei was critically injured by Stain, Tenya sought revenge by hunting down and eliminating Stain, breaking several rules of the Hero profession in the process—something extremely uncharacteristic of him. Having inherited the alias Ingenium, Tenya now works tirelessly to uphold his brother's Hero name and the reputation of the Iida Family.
