MERLE DIXON

Merle Dixon is Daryl's older brother and one of the most troubled characters in the early seasons of The Walking Dead. He is portrayed by Michael Rooker.

Physically, he is a tall, muscular adult male with blond/light brown hair and a beard. He has a rather disheveled and aggressive appearance. His most striking feature is that, after losing a hand, he uses a metal prosthesis that he can adapt with different weapons.

Merle has an aggressive, provocative, racist, impulsive, and highly problematic personality. He is accustomed to resolving problems through threats or violence and tends to say exactly what he thinks, regardless of whether it hurts someone.

But the most interesting thing about Merle is his relationship with Daryl. Although he often treats him badly and has a huge negative influence on him, he also feels a very strong bond with his brother. Merle practically raised Daryl in a difficult environment, so Daryl learned many of his early survival skills from him.

Merle disappears when he gets trapped on the roof of a building in Atlanta and later reappears working for the Governor in Woodbury. By then he has changed in some ways, but he still retains many of his old habits.

Her relationship with the Governor deteriorates when she begins to realize that he is willing to sacrifice anyone to maintain power.

And that's where a VERY important part of his character comes in: Merle begins to show that he genuinely wants to protect Daryl. Although for a long time he seemed to be simply a violent and selfish man, he ends up making decisions that show how much he cares about his brother.

Her relationship with Daryl is quite complicated because it mixes brotherly love, resentment, guilt, and years of abuse.

ROSITA ESPINOSA
Rosita is a very competent survivor.
She is young, athletic, and has dark hair. She knows how to use weapons and has considerable experience in survival.
She is independent, self-confident, and doesn't usually let other people decide for her.
He has knowledge of survival, combat, and weapons handling.
She's also quite protective of her friends and Eugene. HERSHEL GREENE
Hershel is Maggie and Beth's father.
He is an older man, religious, kind, and very wise.
At first he has a rather different view of the walkers and what is happening, but he eventually comes to understand the reality of the new world.
He becomes a father figure to several members of the group, especially to Rick.
It has great moral importance because it tries to remind them that, although the world has changed, they can still retain their humanity. —BETH GREENE
Beth is Maggie's younger sister.
She is sweet, calm, and quite sensitive.
At first she seems ill-prepared for the outside world, but little by little she proves that she can be much stronger than others believe.
She has an optimistic personality and usually tries to find something good even in horrible situations.
Her relationship with Daryl is especially important, because they both develop a very deep bond even though they are completely different people.
SASHA WILLIAMS
Sasha is Tyreese's sister.
She is an excellent shooter and fighter.
After experiencing numerous losses, he develops a much tougher personality.
She is distrustful, determined, and protective.
Although she may seem cold, many of her actions actually stem from her fear of losing the people she loves again.

TYREESE WILLIAMS
Tyreese is Sasha's brother.
He is physically enormous and very strong, but he has a rather sensitive personality.
Unlike other characters, he often tries to avoid killing if there is another option.
He is protective, kind, and has difficulty coping with the constant violence of the world.
His enormous physical strength contrasts with his more peaceful nature. -MORGAN JONES
Morgan is one of the first people Rick meets after waking up from the hospital.
His story is quite complicated.
At first, he helps Rick understand what happened and provides him with information about the walkers.
Then he goes through extremely traumatic moments that profoundly affect his way of thinking.
Morgan goes through stages where he believes killing is justified and others where he tries to completely reject violence.
He is one of the characters who changes the most psychologically. - Shane Walsh
Shane was Rick's best friend and he was also a police officer.
At first he seems to be a good friend and companion.
During Rick's absence, Shane begins a relationship with Lori and believes that Rick is probably dead.
When Rick returns, the situation between them begins to deteriorate.
Shane becomes increasingly impulsive, possessive, and paranoid.
His obsession with surviving and protecting those he considers his own ultimately pits him directly against Rick. —JUDITH GRIMES
Judith is Lori and Rick's daughter.
She is born during the apocalypse and grows up practically surrounded by survivors.
As he grows up, he becomes much more independent and brave.
She has a particularly close relationship with Daryl, Michonne, and Rick.
Although she is small, she shows that she has learned a great deal from the people around her.
And there's something very beautiful about his character: he represents a generation that never knew the world before the walkers.

Negan
Negan is one of the most important and complex characters in the later stages of the story.
He is tall, strong, has a beard, and usually dresses in black. His signature weapon is a baseball bat named Lucille, which he considers almost a companion.
He is extremely charismatic. He talks a lot, makes jokes even in horrible situations, and uses humor to intimidate.
As leader of the Saviors, he rules through fear and violence.
He is manipulative, intelligent, and brutal, but he also has moments in which he demonstrates that he possesses a certain capacity to feel guilt and affection.
His relationship with Maggie is especially complicated because of everything that has happened between them. EUGENE PORTER
Eugene is one of the most unique characters.
He has long, mullet-style hair and tends to speak using overly complicated words. He is extremely intelligent and possesses scientific and technical knowledge.
At first he is cowardly and uses a lie to get Abraham to protect him.
However, over time he proves that he can be very brave.
He has knowledge of electricity, technology, medicine, and other fields that are useful to the community.
His manner of speaking and his behavior make him quite comical compared to much more serious characters. - Abraham Ford
Abraham is a former soldier.
He is huge, muscular, red-haired, and has a very strong personality.
He is direct, aggressive, and quite impulsive. He is not usually afraid of physically confronting other people.
He has great skills with weapons and combat.
Although he may seem brusque, he is extremely protective of the people he considers part of his group.
His relationship with Rosita is important throughout his story.

MAGGIE GREENE
Maggie is Hershel's daughter and Beth's sister.
At first, she lives on her family's farm and seems like a fairly quiet young woman. However, the apocalypse forces her to quickly become a survivor.
He has dark brown hair and usually wears practical clothing. Over time, he develops a much tougher, more militaristic appearance.
She is intelligent, determined, brave, and very protective. One of her main characteristics is her ability to move forward even after suffering enormous losses.
Her relationship with Glenn is one of the most important in the series.
After several tragedies, Maggie gradually becomes a leader in her own right.
CAROL PELETIER
Carol probably has one of the most impressive evolutions.
When she first appears, she is a shy woman, submissive to her husband, Ed. She has a daughter named Sophia.
After losing Sophia and experiencing other terrible situations, Carol changes completely.
Learn to fight, use weapons, lie, infiltrate, and make extremely difficult decisions.
Although she may seem cold, she still has an enormous capacity to love other people.
She is very close to Daryl and they have an extremely deep friendship.
Carol can be one of the most dangerous people in the group precisely because so often no one expects what she is capable of doing. - CARL GRIMES
Carl is the son of Rick and Lori.
At first, he's just a kid trying to understand what's going on. But because of the apocalypse, he's forced to grow up much faster than other kids.
He has brown hair and usually wears his characteristic sheriff's hat, which belonged to Rick.
He is brave, curious, and increasingly independent.
As he grows up, he learns to shoot, fight, and make decisions for himself.
His relationship with Rick is fundamental because Rick does practically everything he can to keep him alive.

MICHONNE
Michonne initially appears as a mysterious woman carrying a katana and walking accompanied by two chained walkers.
She has black hair, usually long and curly, and an athletic build. Her signature weapon is the katana, which makes her one of the best fighters in the series.
She is serious, independent, intelligent, and extremely observant. She doesn't trust others easily, but when someone manages to earn her trust, Michonne becomes incredibly loyal.
She has a romantic relationship with Rick and becomes a maternal figure to Judith.
She is also an excellent strategist and leader.
GLENN RHEE
Glenn is one of the kindest characters in the group.
Before the apocalypse, he worked as a pizza delivery driver. This gave him a very good understanding of the streets of Atlanta, something that proves extremely useful during the first few episodes.
He is Asian, short in stature compared to other characters, and has black hair.
He's intelligent, quick, brave, and very empathetic. He doesn't usually look for fights, but when someone he cares about is in danger, he'll risk everything to save them.
He has a romantic relationship with Maggie and together they form one of the most important couples in the series.
Glenn also maintains a very close relationship with Rick and Daryl.

RICK GRIMES
Rick is the main protagonist of much of The Walking Dead. Before the apocalypse, he was a sheriff's deputy and was used to protecting other people.
Physically, he is tall, strongly built, and has brown hair. He sports a beard for much of the series, especially after spending a long time surviving.
His personality changes drastically. At first, he tries to maintain the rules and morals he had before the apocalypse. He is kind, responsible, and very protective of Lori and Carl. However, after experiencing loss, betrayal, and extreme situations, he begins to transform into a much colder leader, willing to kill if he believes it is necessary.
He is excellent with firearms and also knows how to fight hand-to-hand. His greatest quality, however, is his ability to lead.
The most important people in their lives are Carl, Lori, Judith, Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, and Maggie.
DARYL DIXON
Daryl is one of the most beloved characters on the show. He's Merle Dixon's younger brother and originally had a rather aggressive and distrustful personality.
He has long, dark, usually disheveled hair, blue eyes, and a rather unkempt appearance. His clothing is typically practical and suitable for survival. His most recognizable feature is his crossbow.
Daryl is quiet, sarcastic, distrustful, and can seem cold, but he actually has a huge heart. He has a lot of trouble expressing his feelings, so he usually shows affection through actions.
It is one of the best hunters and trackers in the group. It can move silently, find food, follow tracks, and survive virtually alone.
Over time, he develops an almost brotherly relationship with Rick. He also forms very strong bonds with Carol, Judith, Beth, and other members of the group.
