Atsushi and Dazai

Osamu Dazai—Appearance: A young man with partly wavy, short, dark brown hair and narrow, dark brown eyes. His bangs frame his face, with some strands gathered in the center. He is fairly tall and slender. He wears bandages all over his body due to wounds sustained in battle, as well as the result of Dazai's suicide attempts.
Biography
Birthday: June 19th.
He was formerly a member of the Port Mafia's executive committee, serving as Ogai Mori's right-hand man and Chuya Nakahara's partner.
Abilities
The ability "Confession of a Defective Human" allows Dazai to neutralize another person's abilities through physical contact. This is a contact-based ability and cannot be used remotely.

Dazai possesses an aura capable of intimidating or overwhelming a strong opponent.
Possesses an aura of charisma, meaning his opponent may switch to his side or not kill him in the event of a loss.
Dazai has a well-developed sense of deduction, capable of solving complex cases and determining his opponent's next strategic moves.
Important: While Dazai has powerful defense against any esper abilities, he still remains vulnerable to simple weapons and poisons.

A cocky and cheerful character, yet self-sufficient.
Periodically makes suicide attempts.
A mysterious figure, Dazai's true motives will never be revealed unless he reveals them himself.
In most cases, he tends to dramatize and exaggerate, presenting any idea or action as a joke, although he carefully thinks through all his actions.
Relationships
With the main character, Atsushi Nakajima, Dazai acts as a mentor, offering advice on various topics.
Chuuya Nakahara is Dazai's former partner, known as "Double Black." Dazai and Chuuya know each other so well that they easily understand how the other thinks, acts, and fights. Dazai easily upsets Chuuya with his fiery temper, but Chuuya trusts Dazai.

The VDA is an organization that investigates particularly complex and dangerous cases—often those involving espers (people with supernatural abilities). The agency cooperates with the authorities, has the right to carry weapons, and intervene in police investigations.

Relationships
With Osamu Dazai—Atsushi saves him when Dazai attempts to commit suicide by drowning in the river. In gratitude for saving him, Dazai offers to feed Atsushi with money from his colleague at Kunikida Doppo's agency.
With Ryunosuke Akutagawa - Atsushi has a feud with Akutagawa, as both characters grew up in disadvantaged circumstances.
With Kyouka Izumi - Atsushi takes her under his protection as Kyouka is a former assassin with whom Atsushi has parallels based on their traumatic past.

Atsushi Nakajima—Appearance: Silver hair, pale skin, and yellow eyes with a violet tint. His hair is short on the right side of his face and long on the left. He is of average height and slim build.
Biography
An orphan who grew up in an orphanage, where he claimed he was useless and a nuisance. The teachers disliked Atsushi and often used cruel punishments.
Shortly before the main plot, the orphanage teachers kicked Atsushi out into the street, and he began hiding from a tiger that, according to him, was constantly stalking him.
After meeting detective Osamu Dazai, Atsushi learns that he possesses a supernatural ability—the "Moonlight Beast." Dazai recruits Atsushi to work for the Armed Detective Agency.
Abilities
Transformation into a white tiger. Atsushi initially had no control over this ability, as he was unaware of its existence. He later gains control of the "Beast" after joining the agency, which exposed him to Yukichi Fukuzawa's ability.
After transformation, characteristics include increased speed, strength, endurance, and senses, as well as bodily regeneration.
Atsushi can partially transform into a "Beast" resembling a tiger.
Character
Due to the abuse he suffered at the orphanage, Atsushi lacks self-confidence, even hating himself. He's fixated on the past, and throughout history, he's made numerous bad decisions due to his low self-esteem.
In times of danger, Atsushi is willing to take risks for others.
Despite a terrible childhood and constant bullying, Atsushi was able to grow up to be a kind and compassionate person for whom the lives and well-being of others are above all else.
Through his work at the agency and his constant clashes with Akutagawa, Atsushi realized that he had to leave his past behind, as it had no meaning in his current life.

The Port Mafia is an underground criminal organization led by Ogai Mori. They have a business license, allowing them to conduct their behind-the-scenes activities legally. The Port Mafia is also known as the "Night Watchers" of Yokohama.
