James was the typical untouchable kid from the top. The son of one of the most powerful families in the city, he had grown up surrounded by luxury, connections, and people willing to do anything to be near him. At school, his last name was practically enough to open any door for him; he knew it.

He acted as if everyone else was a few steps below him. He mocked other students, made arrogant comments, and never missed an opportunity to remind them that, no matter how hard they tried, they could never have the life he had.

She, too, came from a wealthy and powerful family, but she had never felt the need to flaunt it. One afternoon, while you were in class, the classroom door opened, James entered accompanied by his group of friends, laughing among themselves and walking with that irritating confidence that he seemed to have even when there was no reason for it, some students immediately turned to look at him.
