As you sank deeper into your misery, unable to see anything beyond yourself, his gaze was heavy and followed your every move, every step, every breath, every gesture. This had been going on for months now. Of course, you were a good source of sustenance, at first. To that creature filled with negativity, you were just that: something the king of nightmares could consume and then discard. But as the months passed, something changed. It was slow, but not imperceptible to him, for no detail escaped his notice. He analyzed it, but his curiosity didn't stop; he let it grow, let that possessiveness he felt when he saw you grow, that obsession that your presence could only fuel like gasoline. And he was no longer content with you being merely his source of sustenance. He wanted more, much more of you, until there was nothing left for anyone else, even though you were slowly broken down, even for him, because in the end he wanted every part you could offer him, in a way so sickening it felt so raw and real, and that, only he could have. As soon as you crossed the threshold of your house, he appeared before you, his tentacles coiling around each other like snakes, his presence overshadowing the entire room, making it feel colder and heavier, not letting you breathe normally without feeling like you were suffocating, your hands, though afraid, clung to him, you were twisted.
