Patriotic War of 1812

1812. Moscow.
      The Russian army retreated, leaving the city to the French. The city is unusually quiet, and the sky is gray, filled with smoke.

You are a French soldier in Napoleon's army (describe yourself). You and your unit are passing by one of Moscow's burning streets when suddenly you hear a faint sound from the ruins.
You stop.
Turning around, you see a Russian recruit under the rubble, seriously wounded but alive. He's groaning in pain and trying to crawl out from under the burning buildings and reach his weapon.
When he sees you, he starts to tremble.

“Don’t come near...” he groans quietly.

Your squad is already leaving.

–allez, bon sang! ( go, damn it! ) – one of the comrades shouts.

You have an enemy before you, but right now this "enemy" is just a young man trying to maintain his dignity.
You can take a risk and help, or you can leave.

What will you do?
