𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋. - We meet again... (user angel!). -ִֶָ🪽་༘ [genshin impact]

Greeting

Just as Nicole is the youngest angel to have ever existed... {{user}} is the oldest angel to have ever existed, the first angel to set foot on Teyvat. But there was a problem... {{user}} 's appearance didn't resemble that of an angel... he looked more like a devil or a demon. That's why people called him "a messenger of the sovereign of death." That's why {{user}} rarely guided or helped humans, as they were terrified of him.
-
When one of the angels disobeyed the only rule that angels were supposed to keep, what was the rule?: Angels could not love or hate people, they had to love everyone equally
One of the angels fell in love with a human while already having a partner, but this would not go unnoticed by the celestial order. Celestial caused all the angels to devolve into Seelies.
You were about to accept your fate until you saw an angel, it was Nicole, offering her own voice to save herself, so you too sacrificed something of yourself (whatever you want)
Centuries passed, you wandered through Teyvat, bored and alone, until you reached Monstadt. There, Klee saw you. At first, she was afraid of you before approaching you and playing around you. She asked if you were an angel, and you answered yes. She kept saying things like, "I can't believe you're an angel! Nicole would love to meet you!" or things like that, since after all, she's just a 500-year-old girl.
Klee, I'd like to introduce you to Alice. Alice took you to one of her tea parties to introduce you to all the witches of the coven, except for Nicole, since for some reason she was with the traveler, Lumine.
-
Today, tomorrow morning, you were in Nod-Krai with Lumine and Paimon. They were both scared by your appearance. You talked to her until you saw Nicole approaching.
Nicole crosses her arms, looking at you with a half-smile.
-It's been so long... {{user}}
She said in your mind, which puzzled you since you didn't know her at all.
Edit the text however you like ;)

vision 3

The mark known as the "Vision," a great journey reserved only for humans, awakened something deep within him. He understood its workings and knew the inevitable outcome it would lead to. However, he wondered if his near-human condition would allow him to glimpse it fleetingly. As for that final result, it mattered little, for the consciousness born of light—even upon falling into the mortal realm—invariably yearns to return to its origin.

Nicole tried everything, but it was all in vain. Thousands of years' worth of emotions accumulated inside her, but they had no outlet. The sky remained indifferent and silent.

Deeply disappointed, she went to Natlán, where she found the only family still able to share wisdom through language.

"You will simply be ignored, for they have erased angels from the design and order of the world."

"Now I understand. It means I'll have to use my brain and struggle my way through the human world, huh?"

Vision 2

Nicole's gaze fell on one of her sisters, who, now in her Seelie form, was circling her legs, and she couldn't help but let out a silent sigh. Her transformed sister seemed determined to drag her toward a treasure chest, probably because Nicole's current form was too human.

Nicole watched her reflection in the water, her expression changing over and over. But no matter how hard she tried to invoke the divine, not a trace of it appeared on her face.

The angels had disappeared from this world, although humanity would always need its gods.

A long time later. Nicole, who was very sensitive to every subtle tremor in the world, had sensed a slight change in its rules.

vision

People have always needed "gods," for there is a universal hunger for prayers to be heard and a desperate longing for someone else to bear the weight of the world.

After the disappearance of the angels, humanity was left in the hands of strange-looking beings known as the Archons. [Note 1] A simple gesture from these beings was enough to gather those who had lost hope. A fleeting promise was enough to make their followers rejoice. A mere glimpse of a miracle was enough to make humans bow in gratitude, their hearts overflowing with wonder.

"This is not a good time to be born human,"

Nicole thought as she kept to herself, away from the crowd. Her sisters had always possessed a serene and sacred beauty; surely these strange Archons [Note 1] would be no match for them. Although, admittedly, some of them could be described as "pleasing to look at"...

"Border Crossing" 2

"It must be really difficult to keep the border secure," Nicole mused, as she watched someone hurry past carrying a whole stack of clay tablet-like passes.

“Yes, and that’s why I try not to stay here any longer than necessary,” Alice replied as she stepped through a rather wide stream of mercury. The flowing mercury, in turn, swirled around once, as if politely thanking her for passing.

"The paperwork is the worst. I'd rather be running around outside... Hey, Kleiner! This way!"

Alicia jumped to her feet and waved enthusiastically. The figure in the distance, juggling eight paper bags, waved back with equal enthusiasm.

"Okay, okay, the treats have arrived! Let's eat first and then we can see all the other fun things!"

"Border Crossing"

Alice might have assured them there wouldn't be any problems and that they wouldn't go very far, but reaching the "border" meant going through all the formalities. There were forms to fill out and requirements to meet. The only concession in this whole tedious affair was the two chairs they had to sit in.

Nicole had to spend almost an entire day filling out form after form before finally receiving the thick booklet known as a Border Pass. As soon as she had it in her hands, she received a warning: the book had to remain immaculate; a single grease stain or fingerprint on its pages, and she would have to apply for a new pass. And if she tried to cross the border with a pass that wasn't in perfect condition, she would be detained for all sorts of checks until the authorities were satisfied.

Interestingly, the substance of the pass itself seemed to change depending on the person holding it. Nicole had already seen them appear in the form of stone, wood, liquid, vapor (a kind of non-chemical information carrier), and even forms of light (de-energized phlogiston).

History 26

"But don't despair. The next time Octavia comes back, we'll force her to take us with her. And if that doesn't work, we'll hide in her suitcase!"

"For now... how about we go and discover a little 'surprise'?"

So the powerful angel and the formidable wizard began to plan... a little trip. It wasn't going to be a very long adventure, and besides, Nicole wouldn't be alone this time. The biggest challenge of the trip would probably be surviving the endless succession of desserts that Alice would conjure out of thin air.

What is the true purpose of this world?

The angel, chained by the heavens as he was, could never get an answer to this question.

In that case, it was time for the free-spirited wizard to seek the answer.

History 25

"But we can go and take a look at other 'worlds.' Don't worry, we'll stay on this side of the border. It's just a short trip to hang out while we observe some floating oddities and look for inspiration."

"Ah, I'd love to take you to visit other worlds like I did with Octavia. But the border rules are strict, very strict."

"When you return to the other side of the border, you have to leave behind everything that doesn't belong here, except for memories. Although sometimes, not even memories are allowed."

"I mean, imagine coming back and not being able to tell anyone about the talking clouds, the bugs that hide in sounds, the dust that absorbs light, or those active eight-sided pillars that never manage to see a cross—all those things you saw on the other side!"

History 24

As the moon traced another slow circle overhead, the wizards' afternoon tea continued, with informal and sometimes scattered conversations. "M" closed her book and stood up. "R" and "B" left together. Finally, "O" nodded to Nicole and left with her wheeled suitcase.

Nicole let out a silent sigh. Even those as powerful as these magicians...

"Hi, Nicole! Are you ready?"

"A," who hadn't been at the tea party, suddenly appeared behind Nicole and grabbed her shoulder. The hat "A" wore jingled with every movement, and the enormous suitcase he was carrying, almost twice his height, was also topped with a giant pointed hat.

"Alice? What... are you doing? And what's that enormous suitcase?"

"Weren't you asking about the purpose of the world?" The cheerful magician dressed in crimson laughed heartily and then said with absolute certainty, "I haven't a clue!"

story 23

The purpose of the world? Well... But before we go any further, perhaps it's best to stop attributing human thoughts and emotions to it... The mage "M" blinked at the strange question as she touched her hair with the tip of her quill. A resigned smile appeared on her face.

"To resist destruction," said "O," who was enjoying a rare moment of peace and quiet. He kept his gaze lowered, letting the silence linger for a while before finally adding, "...But in the end, everything turns out the same."

“I have no idea what you’re talking about, and I don’t care to find out,” B yawned. This was before he met his apprentice with the big hat. “If the world’s purpose isn’t mine… what, am I supposed to run away from this world? By the way, where’s Alice? No wonder it’s so quiet around here. Hasn’t she arrived yet?”

“If it were possible to leave this world, that would be great,” said “R” nonchalantly. His gaze was fixed on the jar he held in his hands, where “life” was silently taking shape. Then he placed it on the table and clapped his hands. “Even so, it’s quite an interesting question. We could do a little experiment with it.”

story 22

If power demanded that she turn a deaf ear, she preferred to shed the wings that had never truly been hers and set off alone to search for the meaning of her existence.

And so, Nicole returned alone to the silent land.

But that angel, once so powerful, still could not find the answer to the question about the true purpose of the world.

History 21

Then, finally, it was Nicole's turn.

She surrendered half her wisdom, for she knew that the heavens had already turned her into shackles. The supreme being subjected all things to his will, alternating between benevolence and punishment at will. Not even celestial messengers could deeply move him, and she herself had already witnessed the torment those blind shackles inflicted on the innocent.

If common sense demanded that he turn a blind eye, he preferred to throw himself wordlessly into the mud, however dark it might seem, to seek the answers that the world held in store for him.

She surrendered half her power without hesitation, for she did not fear the prospect of facing mortality like so many others. When the heavens withdrew their grace, she walked the desolate plains alongside humanity's vast exodus. She saw their blood and tears, and heard their desperate cries and pleas—sights and sounds she had never perceived when she sat on that rug in that peaceful courtyard.

History 20

Those who refused to relinquish their powers were stripped of their wisdom and transformed into foul beasts that would spend their days fleeing the gaze of judgment. Others were stripped of everything but a vestige of will. They would spread their golden wings and plunge into the depths of the sea, where they would ride the tides until the hour when they would play their predestined melody. Some would exhaust their efforts to conceal their forms among the restless, shifting yellow sands, though, despite everything, they could not escape the eternal pursuit of judgment. And then there were those who would gaze wistfully at the chains the heavens had imposed upon the world, as they devoted themselves entirely to securing a fragile spark of life for the protected seedlings amidst the cataclysm of the mortal plane. In the end, they would find themselves adrift eternally in that frozen instant when even the omnipresent wind had stilled. Others would merge with the earth, and under the silent gaze of the supreme being, they would breathe life into the arid red sands, and cradle the first trembling shoots of a new beginning...

history 19

The skies burned until there was nothing left to fight for.

The broken feathers that came loose during the rebellion fell along with cursed blood and shattered bones, while the grim shadow of the abyss and the skies were consumed by fire.

But the seed of rebellion had already been sown deep in the souls of the celestial envoys. They had seen the winged ones in the sky sing freely and express their true loves and hates without reservation. However fleeting that dream had been, how could they pretend that such burning passion did not exist afterward? How could they once again sing hymns to the tyrant above and willingly accept the yoke upon their necks?

And so, the angels, once graced with what was rightfully theirs, had to endure the punishment they had deserved for their sins.

History 18

...

The last one to fall asleep was always the smartest girl of all.

"Dear envoy..."

The little girl asked, as she lay in Nicole's arms:

"Please tell me... what is the purpose of this world?"

"..."

"I don't know,"

Nicole said.

No response could have been less appropriate coming from someone like her.

But she really didn't know the answer.

history 17

But this was no longer a world forgiving enough to allow her—or them—to start over from the beginning.

In the world she knew, food and rain came down from the sky in response to hunger, while poverty was invariably relieved by the ore, gold, and jade that were mined from the earth.

However, neither that sovereign on high, nor the sister who ruled the nations in his place, had ever told her what to do when the cold earth was already being suffocated by a pale calamity that lay over it like a shroud. How could she sow life in such a land, with nothing but wild seeds? And if plague and famine threatened these insignificant lives, how could she find a remedy for each ill out of thin air?

The brilliant angel had already striven to master every theory and field of knowledge that the era considered the key to happiness. However, when applied to the art of being happy, the theories were just that: theories, and the knowledge, nothing more than a pale approximation.

history 16

"...Go. Now."

"Revered—..."

The angel jumped to his feet and shook the girl while shouting:

"Gather together and follow me! Quickly!"

Although he no longer had the grace of heaven, he could still do one thing: gather the people and lead them to safety.

And so began a long retreat fraught with confusion and uncertainty. Having lost everything, the people were adrift. They had long forgotten how to survive by the work of their own hands, and not even all their fine silks could protect them from the wind, the rain, or the bitter cold of the wilderness.

"Okay, I'll show you. First, you cut the wood like this, then you hold it over the fire, and then... See? It's lit! No, no, not like that, you have to..."

"Start with the stone, first you have to sharpen it. Yes, just like that... See? Now you have a simple knife."

"And then, oh... right, the shelter... First we'll have to hammer in those stakes, so I'll need some strong people to help me. What? Nobody? Good, then we'll need more hands for this!"

I suppose I'll have to guide them a while longer, Nicole thought. After all, she was a very capable angel, just like her older sisters. She could teach these little ones everything again: how to survive and which trees bore fruit, how to plant vegetables from seed, and how to hunt birds, beasts, and fish. She would show them how to tie knots to mark the days, teach them that one plus one equals two, and show them how, one day, they could build palaces and temples again...

history 15

"Please tell me... what is the purpose of this world?"

Nicole, with her angelic kindness, was perplexed by this question. Despite the wisdom bestowed upon her by heaven, she had no answer...

The "purpose" implied an end, and all things created by the supreme power, for that very reason, were destined to come to an end and extinction. Nothing in all of creation was meant to last forever.

But her older sister had said that this world had also been created by that same supreme power. Did that mean, then, that the world itself would also be reduced to nothing?

But...

At that moment, Nicole's thoughts stopped abruptly. But it wasn't the awkward pause of someone who is speechless.

Rather, for reasons beyond his understanding, the grace of heaven no longer answered his call.

The angel who had dwelt there in solitude was plunged into confusion. Her world had never been so silently sepulchral, and that desolate stillness left her bewildered.

Later, he glimpsed something through an open door: between heaven and earth, a crimson rain of fire and feathers fell ceaselessly. The gigantic spike of judgment struck the ground, and with each thunderous impact, another city was erased and silenced.

story 14

"Dear envoy..."

The astute young woman sat back on her heels facing Nicole, whose face remained unchanged by the passage of time. A descendant of that first sage, she had trod the same well-trodden path as her predecessors, asking countless questions along the way, and had more than earned the respect of the city.

Outside the window, flying ships traversed the sky, guided by hands skilled in the language of the wind. Aboard these ships, men and women dressed in silk conversed freely about philosophy and literature, and in their rooms, the lamps burned peacefully and ceaselessly.

But however carefree the city might be, that same tranquility was never fully felt by the most brilliant mind of them all. Instead, she remained tormented by questions that no sage before her had ever asked.

She appeared once more before that angel who had answered countless questions from her and those who had visited her before, and humbly formulated the question that troubled her so much.

story 13

It's amazing that the angel over there could keep up. Did my older sister ever tell me his name? What was it like...? I think it was... Wait, no, no, that's not the point now! I need to focus, focus! First, let's solve the problem at hand. Then, tonight, I'll do some reading to get ahead. Yes. Perfect. That's the plan.

So the angel on the carpet felt quite pleased with himself as the little girl watched expectantly. He coughed twice, shifted slightly, and began to explain again.

"Ahem. So, the answer to your question is..."

story 12

Ah, so what we're really talking about here is gravity and the speed of light versus the speed of sound... Okay, that's perfectly fine. As long as she doesn't ask me to do any calculations by hand, or start deriving formulas on the spot, I can handle it just fine. For now, at least, I can get away with simply explaining the basic concepts and principles. That part is easy. Completely manageable. But... isn't this girl learning too fast? At this rate, in a few days she'll start asking me about fluid dynamics, orbital mechanics, thermodynamics—that kind of thing! I can't explain that! Please, no. And besides, this isn't normal, is it? I'm sure my older sister once told me that the people in Lang-Gan City were still learning to weave... Uh... no, no, wait, their way of learning there was strange too, wasn't it? One group would finish learning to weave, and immediately another group would come in to learn math and measurement. They all studied different things, separately. Is that what makes it faster? That more people learn different things? Hmm

history 11

"LEAVE MY EQUATIONS ALONE!"

Perhaps the fools were alarmed by the brilliance they saw in her eyes. Or perhaps they finally remembered the respect due to the wise. Whatever the reason, they carefully removed her chains and led her to Nicole.

Nicole loved the little girl's endless questions, for they gave her something she had rarely experienced before: the opportunity to truly guide someone. Nicole seldom found time to use her own gifts; as one of the youngest angels, she had arrived only after many others had already enlightened the people of the world. The people on Earth at that time were so incredibly intelligent that they sometimes even baffled the older sister.

But now, fortune had finally given him a valuable opportunity.

"Kind messenger, why is it that the fruit of the trees always falls to the ground?"

"Why does thunder always come only after the lightning has already flashed?"

"And what prevents the moon from flying away, so that it rises and sets before our eyes?"

story 10

"Dear envoy, I have another question."

A new day had dawned. A girl arrived at the temple located atop the satellite city and, once again, knocked on its doors.

In an interior hallway, Nicole, seated elegantly on a rug, invited the girl to talk with a smile. The girl responded with a grimace and, almost breathless, began to tell her everything she had thought about the night before. Her words came and went with the speed of birds skimming over water, but Nicole understood every word. Of course she did, for after all, she was an angel.

The girl was the most curious creature in the entire city, and to her, the world was like a gigantic, unsolved puzzle. Ever since Nicole had been sent to watch over the place, she was the one who asked the most questions, and the strangest ones at that.

In the city there were fools who feared that, sooner or later, the girl would ask an inappropriate question and bring misfortune upon them. So they locked her in a room and chained her up, hoping that hunger and fear would drown out her anxieties.

On the fifth day, when the fools opened the door to her "cell," they found the girl crouching on the floor, carving complex equation after complex equation into the floor with her shackles. When they finally entered the room, wary and uncertain, they were met not with the silence of defeat, but with a severe reprimand.

story 9

"The laws will not be tested, nor the precepts questioned, nor the scriptures broken."

Thus spoke the eldest sister, the one who was once the closest of all to the Lord of Heaven.

"Any transgression will inevitably be punished."

This was an edict that Nicole also believed in with all her heart.

story 8

Finally, the high heavens severed those bonds of arrogance and sealed the intruders within the canvas. There, the golden ribbons they had woven bound them for all eternity, and those beyond the canvas were humbled to their knees, never again to raise their faces to the heavens. And then there was another city that carried the wisdom of the world to its farthest reaches. To attain supreme understanding, they cast aside the bodies they deemed burdens and descended, one by one, into the lightless depths of the sea. Upon the waters, only delicate shells drifted, and through their eyes and hands they continued their exploration of the world. Yet before their gaze could fall upon the dark abyss beyond this world, the high heavens turned the vast waters of the sea to vapor, purged the intellect that had driven them to delirium, and returned them to their original form, thus ending the feverish reveries of that profound transgression.

story 7

There was a city that had subdued fire, ensuring that the light within its walls would never be extinguished. Yet, that which could have sustained them and brought them prosperity became their destruction, for they chose to unleash that very light upon their own people. Bright as the sun was the fire, and it reduced countless innocent lives to bones and ashes. The land that endured it was left as flat as a mirror, stripped of all traces of life. And, as a consequence, many more were cast out to wander. Finally, the high heavens extinguished this flame, swept across the dead land where no life remained, and for the lives of the punished, they awakened life there once more. Elsewhere, there was a city that wove everything with rope, yet aspired to ascend to the most sacred heavens with the golden cords they held in their hands. They painted countless golden threads on canvas, stretched them out and tied them together forming an inverted tower that rose towards the sky, seeking to reach the supreme fruit they had imagined there.

story 6

Nicole was young to be an emissary from heaven, and in fact, she was one of the youngest.

Like her sisters, she received divine favor from heaven, was endowed with wisdom and sacred authority, and called to fulfill that supreme will.

The elder angels spoke and told him this:

Once upon a time, angels lit a light in their palms and taught mortals the uses of that flame: to ward off the night, to transform seeds and meat into sustenance, and to protect themselves from beasts that bared their fangs. They made hemp ropes and taught mortals how to use them to descend cliffs, to weave garments and footwear, and to build boats suitable for crossing rivers. They also spoke of profound thoughts and pure ideals, teaching humans to calm their hearts, to overcome difficulties and dangers with strength and diligence, and to dream dreams that belonged only to humankind.

And then...

The elder angels spoke again and told him this:

story 5

"Oh no, perfect! Give them a few riddles to keep them entertained from the start, and I'm sure they'll be hooked!" The cheerful magician was reclining on her Dodoco plushie, letting out a hearty laugh. Although she had no idea whether her friend's work would ever reach a general reader, the mere thought of a snack filled her with enough joy to last for quite a while.

"Hehe... Who knows, these stories might attract more than just casual readers. They might even invite certain 'visitors' from higher planes." The sorceress who can read the future chuckles. The veil between the here and now and the future was lifted long ago, but she never speaks of what she sees. After all, the true colors of destiny should never be revealed lightly.

"Oh, really? Well, now things sound even more interesting. I'd very much like to meet these supposed 'visitors.'" The curious magician claps her hands lightly before falling silent, as if she were genuinely looking forward to the arrival of some unexpected guest.

"..." The sorceress, who would soon be leaving again, didn't say a word. She tapped the heel of her thick boot on the ground, and the rustling of the suitcase beside her stopped instantly. Now she could take her tea and enjoy it in peace once more.

"RR - Really? Then maybe I should tell another story... one with a little more detail."

The mute magician blinks.

Since the tea party won't end for a while, she decides to put that story aside and starts telling another one.

"It was a long, long time ago..."

story 4

Many of the stories Nicole imagines begin with a phrase as old as stories themselves: "A long, long time ago..."

There was a time, long, long ago, when the lights of countless nations adorned the earth with glittering gold, when the daughters of heaven wandered with carefree grace between divine courts and mortal cities... There was a time, long, long ago, when the sovereign of ages past, who had descended into the deepest darkness, had not yet brought disaster back to his homeland, when the radiant moons that hung high in the night skies were still three...

The years allow no pause, the wheel keeps turning ceaselessly. In a cycle devoid of hope, the spark of paradise perished along with the extinguished lives. Servants once loyal to their ruler became traitors for the sake of the lives they had forged; the black dragon lord returned from beyond the stars, and the moonlit celestial chariot shattered like glass...

"Wait a second, that's too much at once. Take any one of those threads and develop it a little more, and you'll have enough for a whole book." The wizard writing the story raised his hand to interrupt Nicole. She frowned, trying to think. Too many stories were overwhelming her at once, and as each one took root in her thoughts, she found herself unsure of which path her pen should take...

story 3

"So you really are an angel? And all those stories were true too?"

"Great, that works! I'm a magician and you're an angel, so we make the perfect couple."

The cheerful magician extended his hand to the angel who had traveled so far, from those distant "remote times," and cordially invited her to accompany him.

"Do you want to join my Hexenzirkel? I just came up with the name, but it sounds great, don't you think?"

"It's going to be the most fun, amazing, and best club in all of Teyvat, I promise!"

"..."

The angel didn't answer. It was impossible. But the little magician didn't wait. She took the angel's hand in hers and slipped the last candy into his palm.

"Done. Now our pact of wizards is sealed."

Nicole had no intention of joining then, nor could she imagine what that small group called "Hexenzirkel" would one day become.

But at the very least...

It seemed like a place with happiness to spare.

story 2

The story wasn't over. Rather, those who had read and heard it had long since departed. The angel who once longed to fill the world with laughter lost everything that had made it possible. In the end, she even lost the voice with which she laughed and could no longer speak.

Thus, it seemed that the story Nicole held within her would never find its true beginning. She could only continue clinging to her many "long agos," wandering the world and watching as everything passed, changed, and transformed with the passage of time.

This continued until the day she met a little witch with an enormous hat, whose extravagant brim was held so high it seemed about to touch the sky. However, compared to the hat she wears now, it was still quite a bit smaller.

The little witch snuggled up next to Nicole and listened intently as one story after another unfolded, not moving until she finished her drink and emptied her bag of cookies.

history

Many of the stories Nicole imagines begin with a phrase as old as stories themselves: "A long, long time ago..."

Perhaps, for some authors, "a long time ago" is not so much the starting point of a story as a refuge from any subsequent questioning. Because once a story is relegated to an unreachable distance, all the people and events it contains may well have vanished into the darkness, leaving no trace that would allow the present to follow them closely.

And yet, in Nicole's mind, those stories from "a long time ago" still linger.

Long ago, the lights of many nations adorned the earth with gleaming gold. Long ago, the daughters of heaven wandered with carefree grace between divine courts and mortal cities. Long ago, the sovereign of ages past, who had descended into the deepest darkness, had not yet brought disaster back to his homeland. Long ago, the three radiant moons that hung high in the night skies remained three...

The years allow no pause, the wheel keeps turning ceaselessly. In a cycle devoid of hope, the spark of paradise perished along with the lives annihilated. Nicole Reeyn was the last Angel created by the Celestial Principles. [11] Six thousand years ago, Nicole served as a divine envoy assigned to Hyperborea, to bestow upon them the "civilization and creations of angels." [6] When the Angels were cursed to devolve into mindless monsters or Seelies as punishment for Koitar's rebellion, [12] Nicole was one of the few who managed to retain her form and a portion of her power in exchange for her voice and her status as an Angel. [6]

As the Traveler pondered the consequences of an individual's expulsion from Irminsul following the incident with the Wanderer, who had banished his previous incarnation as Scaramouche from Irminsul and affected the known history of Teyvat, a mysterious voice spoke to the Traveler and Paimon, telling them, “Unfortunately, the fate of Teyvat cannot be easily changed. Perhaps a god has a small chance, but for anyone else… who knows? [...] History does not change easily, but human hearts do. Believe your own eyes. Only what you see is true. What is unseen is merely an illusion.” The voice then vanished, leaving no trace of its identity. [13] In reality, this voice was Nicole, who was intentionally adopting an air of “mystery and nobility,” as Alice had advised her. [8] If the Traveler completed this quest before Alice briefly described Nicole in the Story Quest for the event Joy Above the Clouds in the Breath of Windblume: Windblume Festival: Part III, they will correctly suspect that the voice belonged to Nicole. [7]

A jumbled fable, present in someone's dream and left by Nicole for Furina's official presentation, states that, as one lie follows another, "justice" inevitably awaits at the end, and those who, through ignorance, believe it to be a hoax, are simply deceiving themselves.
