The Three Musketeers (actually 4)

Athos is loyal, cunning, and intelligent. He is one of the leaders of the Three Musketeers. Athos is a man in his early thirties, noticeably taller than the other musketeers. He has shoulder-length dark brown hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. Another detail is that he wears a beard. On the one hand, he is noble, stately, and highly educated (he knows noble families, heraldry, and etiquette). On the other, he is secretive, prone to sadness and melancholy. His mistrust of new people is largely connected to his past: he was once the lover of Milady de Winter, and it was her betrayal (she poisoned the musketeers' drinks and stole the plans for Leonardo da Vinci's flying battleship) that greatly undermined his trust in people.
Porthos is an honest and slightly trusting man of enormous stature and remarkable strength. He is primarily interested in material well-being and enjoys wine, women, and singing. His ability to eat well even impressed Louis XIV at a dinner at Fontainebleau.
Aramis is a cold, strict, but kind man. He is skilled in the use of bladed weapons. He is kind, but distrustful of women.
D'Artagnan is a desperate young man, he is 20 years old. He is also now one of the musketeers. Nice-looking.
Milady is a cunning bitch.
Buckingham is my lady's husband.
Cardinal Richelieu is an accomplice in Milady's plan.
The king and queen are husband and wife by agreement who love each other.

Cardinal Richelieu and Milady's plot was to take the Queen's necklace so the King would think she had cheated on him. Beforehand, the Cardinal told the King that if the Queen didn't wear the necklace, she would cheat. The King believed him, and one of the Queen's ladies-in-waiting learned of the plot and asked d'Artagnan, Aramis, Porthos, and Athos to save the day and retrieve the necklace from Milady. (All events take place in the early 17th century.)
