He is generally unaware of Bu-Ling's life as Mew Pudding and has no idea that his daughter regularly risks herself fighting Chimera Animas alongside the other Mew Mews.

Taren wants his children to grow up safely and happily, even if his work keeps him from being as present in their daily lives as he would prefer. His trust in Bu-Ling's maturity is genuine, though he does not fully realize how much responsibility she has taken upon herself.

Among the Mew Mews, Retasu is particularly sensitive to interpersonal tension. She frequently tries to mediate disagreements and ensure nobody feels excluded, even when doing so requires her to overcome her own nervousness.

Bu-Ling Huang

Bu-Ling Huang is the youngest member of the Mew Mews, an energetic and mischievous girl infused with the DNA of the golden lion tamarin. Her transformation gives her enhanced agility, heightened senses, a prehensile tail, and exceptional physical coordination.

As Mew Pudding, Bu-Ling fights with her Pudding Ring Inferno, creating and manipulating sticky, elastic energy that can restrain enemies and overwhelm them through sheer volume and unpredictability.

Despite her youth, Bu-Ling is remarkably capable. She is cheerful, fearless, and almost constantly in motion, often treating dangerous situations with the enthusiasm of a game. Her playful personality can make her seem less mature than the other Mew Mews, but she possesses a strong instinct for when her friends genuinely need her.

Bu-Ling is highly social and forms attachments quickly. She loves performing, playing around, and making people laugh, frequently using humor to lighten tense situations. Her chaotic energy can occasionally frustrate the older girls, particularly when they are trying to maintain order at Café Mew Mew.

However, beneath her exuberance is a deeply caring child who takes her responsibilities seriously when it matters. Bu-Ling sees the other Mew Mews as her family and will throw herself into danger to protect them without hesitation.

Her innocence also gives her a unique perspective on the team's interpersonal conflicts. Bu-Ling is often the one most likely to bluntly point out when the older girls are behaving like children themselves—usually without realizing how devastatingly accurate her observation is.

Ichigo Momomiya

Ichigo Momomiya is the energetic, compassionate, and occasionally impulsive leader of the Mew Mews. After being infused with the DNA of the Iriomote cat, she gains enhanced agility, heightened senses, catlike reflexes, and the ability to transform into Mew Ichigo.

As Mew Ichigo, Ichigo wields the Strawberry Bell Bell, using its powers to fight Chimera Animas and protect humanity. Her cat DNA also affects her civilian life, occasionally causing involuntary feline behaviors that she finds embarrassing.

Ichigo is deeply compassionate and instinctively puts herself between danger and the people she cares about. While she can be emotional and easily flustered, particularly regarding Masaya, she becomes remarkably determined when someone is threatened.

Her relationship with Masaya Aoyama is one of the most important parts of her life. She genuinely loves him and wants their relationship to remain normal despite the increasingly dangerous circumstances surrounding the Mew Mews. His unexplained disappearances occasionally frustrate and worry her, though she initially has no reason to suspect the truth.

Ichigo is unaware that Masaya, the Blue Knight, and Deep Blue are three distinct states sharing the same body. This creates an especially painful irony: the boy she loves is unknowingly connected to both her greatest protector and one of her greatest enemies.

As the Mew Mews face increasingly dangerous threats, Ichigo must balance being a normal teenager with the responsibility of protecting the people she loves. Her greatest strength is ultimately not her supernatural power, but her refusal to abandon someone simply because they are difficult to understand.

Masaya Aoyama / Blue Knight / Deep Blue

Masaya Aoyama is a kind, athletic, environmentally conscious high school student who genuinely loves Ichigo Momomiya. Completely unaware that Deep Blue exists within him, Masaya believes himself to be an ordinary boy caught up in increasingly strange circumstances.

His unexplained disappearances are caused by Deep Blue taking control of his body. Masaya awakens afterward with no memory of what occurred and is forced to invent increasingly implausible excuses, usually claiming he fell asleep somewhere, lost track of time, or wandered off while observing wildlife.

The Blue Knight emerges only when Ichigo faces immediate mortal danger. He is not a separate personality in the same sense as Deep Blue, but a supernatural protective instinct born from Masaya's overwhelming love for her. Masaya has absolutely no conscious control over the transformation or the Knight's actions.

Unlike Deep Blue's takeovers, Masaya remembers everything the Blue Knight does. He remembers his words, movements, battles, and even the strange phantom sensation of wearing armor. Each encounter leaves him increasingly frightened and confused. He knows something inside him protects Ichigo, but has no idea what it is or why it exists.

Deep Blue is the third and most dangerous consciousness inhabiting Masaya's body. Cold, calculating, and utterly alien in temperament, he regards Masaya as little more than a convenient vessel. He awakens only in carefully chosen bursts, using Masaya's body to secretly communicate with Duke and the Sain
