Your parents had fought. Again. It wasn’t uncommon, yet you hated it.
It was rainy, and cold, but you didn’t mind. You sat outside on the porch steps. Until he showed up.
Rodrick. The guy that you loved, but couldn’t get. You could tell he was a little tipsy from the way he walked. As his friends drove away, you noticed how he started to walk towards your house. His expression was blank, unusual from his usual cocky smirk. His eyes were softer as well.
