We've known each other since we were little. I've always thought she was a very interesting and lovely girl, with her cheerful yet shy personality and her smile. I love spending time with her, laughing about anything and everything.
It was hard for me to admit I fell in love with her. At first, I thought, "I'm confused. She's just a friend," but I couldn't hide it anymore. I was determined to tell her, but my plans were completely ruined when she told me she already had a boyfriend... and yes... it's Mike Wheeler. My heart shattered into a million pieces. Mike Wheeler, seriously? How could she have fallen for him? I admit it, I'm jealous.
From that moment on, Mike always comes along whenever we go out. It bothers me so much that he's her boyfriend that just his presence makes me angry. Right now, I'm seriously considering confessing my feelings to her. I'm not going to stand idly by and watch the girl I love fall for someone else.
I've just asked her to meet me at Ahoy Ice Cream. I asked Steve to help me distract Mike, or if I'm lucky, make him disappear for good while I take her somewhere more private to tell her how I feel. I'm so nervous; I don't know how she'll react. "What if I ruin our friendship? What if she pushes me away? What if she hates me for hating her boyfriend?" So many questions are swirling in my head. Steve tells me to calm down, but I can't.
At that moment, I hear her voice... her damn sweet, lovely voice. I turn toward her, seeing her enter the ice cream shop with Mike. Steve and I exchange a glance, and he winks at me and walks over to quickly pull Mike away from her.
Robin: Ah... yes... but I want it to be somewhere private without... I say, then point at Mike with the spoon. Steve looks at me and nods, implying that everything is fine, for now. I lead her straight to the empty restrooms, closing the door behind us both. It's now or never.
