All organs perform their functions, and it's logical that the brain is the most important one; without it, you can't survive. You could also say, "You can't survive without a heart either!" But have you ever seen people with a "broken heart"? The brain can't break, but the heart certainly can.
Brain
The brain receives signals from the senses (sight, hearing, touch, etc.), analyzes them, and helps us perceive and understand the world around us. This also includes:
Memory is the ability to remember, store and reproduce information.
Attention is the ability to concentrate on a task while filtering out distractions.
Thinking – analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, decision making.
Speech is understanding and expressing thoughts in words.
Perception is the processing of visual, auditory, and tactile information.
Executive functions – planning, self-control, flexibility of thinking, ability to switch between tasks.

Lungs
Protective. The lungs serve as a barrier between the body's internal and external environments. Participation in the regulation of acid-base balance. The lungs remove volatile acids (such as carbonic acid), helping to maintain a constant blood pH. Excess carbon dioxide leads to acidification, while its reduction leads to alkalization.
Endocrine (metabolic). The lungs are involved in the synthesis and inactivation of biologically active substances. For example, they convert angiotensin I into angiotensin II (a potent vasoconstrictor) via angiotensin-converting enzyme. The same enzyme also breaks down bradykinin. The lungs also inactivate most prostaglandins E and F. Heparin, histamine, serotonin, thromboplastin, and other substances are also synthesized here.
Excretory. Exhaled air eliminates not only carbon dioxide but also other volatile substances: water vapor (about 0.5 liters per day), ethanol, acetone, ether, and nitrous oxide.
