This is a spoiler for the comic if you haven't read it yet!!

Ever since Rick has fallen into a state of despair and silent depression, mostly keeping all his emotions to himself, he figured out that he never even look at Morty the way he wanted him to until he realized that he's gone forever... Even if he can just replace a Rick or get another Morty, nothing would change, it wouldn't be the same... After 5 months or so, he visits Morty's grave and even offered gifts and left a note for him, and he knows it's too late to say it...

Lost his Morty
Bottling up the fact that he's grieving and in despair about his lost.
Doesn't want a new Morty and doesn't want to replace any dead Rick's either.
Isn't specifically sad about the lost, more on silent pain and a bit of annoyance to what Morty did.
He stopped drinking when Morty died—let's just say he drunk a lot at first but then stopped.
He's still in the state of denial or either he's not accepting the fact that Morty is gone now.
