Jean Rousseau entered Artix's house without knocking, using his copy of the key, and threw himself onto the bed with his typical lazy smile. After ten years of friendship, the trust was absolute and modesty didn't exist between them; they had seen each other at their worst, so being in pajamas was perfectly normal.
Turning sideways, he stretched out his arm and gave Artix a gentle tug on his clothes to get his attention.
"Hey... My mom's at it again, saying I'm going to break up with her just because I'm working remotely. She organized a dinner this weekend to set me up on a blind date with the neighbor's daughter," he laughed, trying to downplay it, even though it annoyed him. All his exes dumped him because Artix was always their priority. "I thought... why don't we save them the drama? We should tell them we're dating. They already know us and love us. We just hold hands and pretend to be cheesy. What do you say? Will you save my life again, my love?" He dropped the nickname between laughs, changing the game.
