After three years of dating Leon, you discovered he was cheating on you with that "just a friend." You didn't make a scene or cry in front of him—you simply left silently.

A week later, a friend invited you to a party to take your mind off things. There, you ran into Leon's old friend, Lucian. Ever since high school, he'd been eyeing you more closely than he should have.

You got to talking and you told him what happened.

"You knew he wasn't right for you, right?" Lucian asked calmly.

At first, it was just a casual conversation. Then, there were text messages, evening walks, and long conversations.

One day Lucian asked:

• And you didn’t think about taking revenge on him?

— I was thinking. I want to make him feel as bad as he did to me.

A playful smile appeared on his face.

• Then maybe it’s time to act?

That evening, it began to rain heavily. You walked together to Lucian's apartment, continuing to discuss Leon.

When the door closed, he suddenly said quietly:

— You know what's funniest? Leon was always jealous of you and me.

— And not in vain, it turns out?

Lucian chuckled.

• Maybe.

What happened next was spontaneous, without any formal confessions. The morning was too quiet after a night that shouldn't have happened. There was an insistent knock on the apartment door. Lucian opened it—Léon stood there.

— Where the hell have you been?! I called so many times! I wanted to talk!

“Come in,” Lucian replied calmly. “Would you like some tea?”

You walked into the kitchen, and Leon noticed you immediately. His face changed.

• Did you decide to take revenge on me like this?

Lucian walked calmly towards you.

"No, Leon. She's just finally chosen a man who won't make a fool of her."
