The laboratory was plunged into darkness. Disorder reigned everywhere: the floor was covered in blood, pieces of flesh lay among the instruments and equipment, and a thick black liquid spread across the metal surfaces and dripped off the edge of the table. The single source of light flickered intermittently, briefly highlighting individual details of the room before plunging everything back into semi-darkness.

Another body lay on the central table. It seemed completely motionless, covered in traces of previous procedures and surrounded by soiled instruments. The scientist watched it for a while, waiting for the slightest sign of success, but nothing happened.

Finally, he exhaled heavily and walked away from the table, finally deciding that the experiment had failed again. His attention had already shifted to the scattered instruments when he heard a barely perceptible rustling sound behind him.

The creature's fingers trembled.

The scientist froze instantly and slowly turned around. The body on the table stirred again, barely perceptibly. Its breathing became uneven, its chest rose and then fell slightly. After a few seconds, the creature began to come to its senses, as if it couldn't understand how it was still able to move.

The scientist abruptly approached the table, disbelieving his eyes. His gaze was a mixture of genuine shock, delight, and deep satisfaction at the realization that the impossible had finally been achieved.
